    1. Guys, To match the scrap badges, such a shame. HJ was a M5/276. Jock
    2. Guys, Butchered badges! The EK was a 100 and the KVK1 has had an aborted attack on the swastika? The 25 is ok but nothing special. Jock
    3. Ned, I am still a cheap skate and worry about spending more than a crate of beer on a hobby. Only a load of junk this week end badge wise but I tend to steer clear as the copies are getting too good regardsless of all the publications that seem to be spewing out these days. Who to trust when most have a vested interest? I don't think you care about getting your money back and do this for the history Ned? Jock
    4. Bernhard, Glad it is of interest. I am just glad they did not go up in smoke! Jock
    5. Guys, My German pal that drives the digger spotted these before he scooped them into the container.. I think the art work is very interesting and quite anti nazi, I guess the cartoonist would have been roughly handled by the Nazis on their assumption of power.
    6. Chis, These were from an attic in Falingbostel near where Stalag XIB was at Örbke. I have asked Kev the curator of the local museum what he thinks and he stated that some of the veterans that visit anually had worn these as replacements for their issue boots, in fact one of the guys marched 900Km from the East in them and lost 2 toes in the process. he thinks as you that they were an economy effort for non essential folk.
    7. Mervyn, I did originaly post the pics, should I wait rather than repost and see if they tip up after the engineering of the site is finished?
    8. Guys, Again in the pile from the week end, these appear to show some sort of Barracks hand over, perhaps from Friekorps to SA? The sleave badge is quite large and hopefully someone can ID it?
    9. Guys, Again from the week end. I like the BW with the TK and the dog is well dressed!
    10. Martin, Please see attached. ' alt='' class='ipsImage' > ' alt='' class='ipsImage' >
    11. as were these verses about her time there, I guess similar to the 'Tram Ladies' on my other thread?
    12. Quite unusual I am sure! Very nice, I like any embroidered stuff as it is usualy very well made.
    13. Uwe, Thanks for your assistance, sorry for the delay but I have been having a spot of trouble replying due to the upgrade, Thanks again!
    14. Guys, I understand from WRF that this buckle is modified from a sports or some other sort of buckle no doubt bought in bulk and very cheaply by some clever bloke. The original was by C&O and an unknown firm has modified an existing buckle to resell to the military, made by the lowest bidder? The new round device is very high detail and quite chunky.
