    1. Guys, No crows foot but the plug is similar to that used on Brit kit and the overall style is very similar to the current lamp? It is in very good order no doubt due to its box.
    2. Guys, A bit more digging, I can't post links so I have done screen shots and if anyone wants to look further the address bar is visable. The Genaral gist of things is that they are 1970s copies as a lot turned up then and were quite inexpensive, also the BM1/ part of the logo was never issued according to the RZM records that survive and lastly as yet I have found no reference to the emmbeded number 11 under the M on the RZM logo. I have found an excellent site about the RZM and it is visable in the screen shots. Of note is the fact that there does not seem to be much original surviving documentation on the RZM post 1939ish so that is half of its life and what does exist is by no means complete. Another thing I found interesting was that small 11 embedded and it no doubt gives weight to the fantasy aspect of the badge as it has no function and did not exist in any shape or so I thought, except in the Betriebskontrollamtes der RZM (see image from http://reichszeugmeisterei.npage.de/betriebskontrollamt-rzm/fuer-betr-und-vk-st.html). Of note was the fact that a licence was issued anually and could be revoked at any point so the common list of makers to badge may be inherantly flawed as again on the above mentioned site there are examples of prosecution of defaulters that would in end effect result in their licence being pulled. Quite a lot of gaps in the RZM history. I will do some more digging as it would be useful to know who in the 70s were producing this copy. Does anyone have a catalouge from then that may include any examples? Images lifted from Militaria-Zeitschrift, Militaria fund Forum and lastly and best: http://reichszeugmeisterei.npage.de/ It seems I can do links again!
    3. Paul, I shall leave it as is and hopefully swap it for something more to my interest.
    4. Mervyn, It was just a show and tell in case other folk had not seen these either, I suppose it is logical that they exist since RAF had the same cut too, just I had never seen one before this one so thought I would share. Cheers!
    5. Thanks for the info, I picked these up for a pal as we intend to swap. He had another 2 of the membership pins but one had a broken pin. I left them as I did not want to be greedy, do you need that one as I can still get one if you do but I will need to know sharpish? He had doubles of the HJ as well but not of the other 3.
    6. Is this any better? It looks like it was a nil entry at the start of the book but they have written over it?
    7. Not good at these WW1 books, looks like something 'Lippe'?
    8. Nice image regardless, we shall never know for sure!
    9. IG, I knew you would like it just for what it is made from, like me too. I had no idea of the location or history so thank you for he detail. It meant something to someone as it has survived. Sold by a lady that deals in 'tacky' costume jewllery, must have come out of some old dears jewllery box.
    10. €30 and a coffee! Normally you will only get an EK2 for €30 or there abouts not the court mount as well. Thinking about it he probably had me with the coffee! Some clowns ask for €60 for one like ours but most of the time they are still there a few years later. There are a lot of them out there!
    11. Andreas, I think you are right, see microscope pic.
    12. Quite a generation gap there! Do you think Grandfather and Grandson?
    13. Guys, Again from today, a nauticle feel since I was in Bremen. There is a Padre there in his white uniform.
    14. Guys, Yes another of these anoying things!
    15. Guys, Again today at Bremen. Not fancy but a reasonable price.
    16. Guys, Not sure where this belongs but my pictures do it no justice. It is a simple piece but it fits together flawlessly when closed and the catch etc, the workmanship is outstanding, I bet this bloke was really good with gold never mind brass and copper! Sadly the security chain is missing but I may have it fixed if not too expensive.
    17. Guys, Not fancy. Cheap and cheerful, I even left it till last minute in case someone else wanted it. I couldn't leave it there unloved though, not at Bremen prices anyway!
    18. Guys, Went out today and had to drop the wife at Bremen early doors. I must say the fleemarkets there have a better quality of junk than ours and not too pricey, this bad boy was €20 which I think is a fair price for a normal phone, they seem to be anywhere between 30/50 localy. It is a proper sleeper though as I found out at home. You don't often get the battery as these phones were reused post war and I know some are still in use on Bergen ranges, well if not in use at least still on inventory a few years back.
    19. Nice group, I would think the gold cord is harder to find than Rommels signature? Never seen one before. Cheers!
    20. Guys, Pictures of the more interesting filled in pages. Not too exciting, I know!
    21. I may try with the microscope later for a better shot.
    22. He is a reservist would that have anything to do with it, saving on cost possibly?
