A few years ago i got a medal bar with: IC on non combatant ribbon, prussian war aid cross, Baden war merit cross, AEZ silver grade and Centenarmedal. It came with an old envelope with the name "Orden Opa Schwarz" (medals grandpa Schwarz) I saw a few bars with the combination of IC non combatant - war aid cross - LSC - AEZ silver grade and Centenarmedal and the persons who earned them were all Zahlmeister (paymaster) So i looked into the Siekmann 1917 and found only one Schwarz who served as an Oberzahlmeister He is on page 283 his unit was Staff / Fieldartilleryregiment 66 (It was stationed at Lahr / Baden), He was born 1860 and his Rangdienstalter was in 1901. He had the AEZ. No more is listed. So if he was born in 1860 he definitely got the Centenarmedal The war aid cross / IC / Baden war merit cross was also awarded after 1917 (- 1924) Does anyone have more information about him ? Thank you very much!

Thanks again. What do we know about him? If he was an official he began after 1897 because of no Centenarmedal, seems that he was prussian. He is not an Intendantur-guy , because he is not listed in the 1929 rank list. I think, that he was still alive in that time. He got the war aid cross between 1917 - 1924. May be he got no 25 LSC because he was too young, that is also the reason why a RAO4 is missing. May be he got the Henry II because of his civil merit (it has no X ) I have to look into the Siekmann.

For all who are not members of the WAF. Got this nice bar. As i got it , it had a very bad condition, the IC was damaged and full of rust - the same like the long service clasp, the AEZ was missing. The medals were hanging on the wrong ribbons. I replaced a good IC Godet one with nice patina, the AEZ and a new well conditioned LS-Clasp. Unfortunately some ribbons are not in the best condition, but i like the bar and it`s 80 years old... It`s not easy to find those bars with 3 foreign medals ("Achsenmächte") on it. I also added one of my turkish war medals (BBco) It was preserved with Zapponlack (was used in earlier times for coins, medals and other things... ) Thanks for watching. Joe
