    1. But this two are quiet intresting to me! It is a bit of a special story and goes back a long time. Rik Sauter was the father of Bob who was best friend with my father. I used to play as a child in the atelier of the guy, when visiting him. It was like a magical place to me with lots of non finished statues and also lots of paintings of Rik's brother Felix Sauter. The grand son (also named Kris) sold me nearly the whole atelier when he moved from his parental house. I had like hunderds of items, but had to sale greatest part, because it was my business and I invested quiet some money in getting it all. I did well, but never the less regreated I had to part of it. It is like breaking up a soldiers convolute. I howe ever managed to kept 3 paintings of Felix, one representing his brother the sculpture. And over the years had the luck to find stuff related to the Sauter family. And so are 2 of the medals of this bunch:
    2. Hey Paul, most are related to the city of Antwerp. But I think you ment this one;
    3. Just got a new load in! Not as big as previous. I 'll post the pic's asap. cheers |<ris
    4. Hey gent's, intresting topic, very much in my intrest. This link might help (a bit), I kow how hard it is to find anything regarding that periode. I am just showing the page (I incidently stumbled on)of a person I was doing research about! cheers |<ris http://www.kaowarsom.be/en/notices_kurtzhals_hans_lindholm
    5. You are probably right about this Paul. Do you have any references to that kind of "coin jewellery" fashion, to guide me to? |<
    6. Fashion generaly influenced uniforms and attributes! So my question is could coins like this have been predecessors fo tinnies and/ or medals. It is a silver 1795, 3 gulden coin having a cloth pin attached to it. To me a political statement was send out by the person wearing it, stating being in favor of the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands ...
    7. ;-) I was surprised we could land a jumbo jet in our country, when I first saw it!
    8. Sea horses are quiet popular on anything at the momment, just as they were back in the seventies. They are moulded (out of clay)in a form, backed, coloured and backed again, just like ceramics should be.
    9. I do have a collection of metal (mostly aluminium) military planes on stands, I will show later on. But as this thread only covers civilian (non military collectibles), I would like you to show these (small plastic planes); They are promotion material for travel agency's. The funny thing about the Belgian Jumbo is that it as a small propeller at the end to make in fly in circles when attached at a string to the celling.
    10. Even door knobs were decorated with ceramic tiles in the late '60 ties and '70 ties. And it seems to be like a Belgian speciality, because I couldn't find many on the net, exept for Belgian url's.
    11. Impressive indeed! |< I have been searching for a drawing table for quiet some time, and found recently thise one. According to the seller, it would have been on a ship originaly! But I can't find any second one on the net; so if you ever come accross one, please let me know.
    12. You are absolutly right Mervyn, that particular factory wasn't the best of all manufacturer of that periode.
    13. Not realy my cup of tea, sold the whole lot! |<
    14. Hey Mervyn, yes this one is a winner! ;-)
    15. Hey Mervyn, I was pleased, yes! Got nearly 400€ for the whole collection. A collection I gathered over a small periode of time at car booth sales for a few euro's a piece. Here is the start of a new collection;
    16. If I had kept all handcuff's I ever had, I would have had a nice collection.... But for some reason my wife doens't like that sort of collection items....in the house...
