    1. Please find attached two examples for 1. 20 years (1844 model) 2. 40 years (1866 model) The second piece was produced by the widow Moussault (Amsterdam). Given that it can only have been made between 1866 and 1869 there should not be too many around. Has anyone information about rarity and prices?
    2. Thanks, Pieter! However, these seem to be larger than the "normal size" miniatures. As you can see, such a model would not really fit...
    3. The term "coins and medals" does in this context indeed only refer to numismatic items and not to awards or decorations. Otherwise they would speak of "orders and medals".
    4. The second to last picture shows Ensign Charles Ewart of the Royal North British Dragoons (Scots Greys) presenting the regimental eagle of the 45e Régiment de Ligne (45th Regiment of the Line) he captured.
    5. A huge re-enactment of the Battle of Waterloo took place in the same Belgian fields where Napoleon's army was defeated, 200 years ago. Though I could not see a single of the 7.000 Nassauers, the allies managed to win without them. See some pictures attached.

    14. Miniatures of the first (West-)German ambassador to Norway (about 1956). Since he had jewish ancestors he had to leave the diplomatic service in 1935 and was reactivated in 1951.
    15. Many German states had a provision according to which years serverd during war times would count double. Was there maybe some similiar rule in the Netherlands?
    16. That would indicate he received his Officers Long Service Decoration with digit XL on the bar in 1930 just before he was pensioned?
    17. Could someone identify this award/badge, please? Thanks in advance!
    18. Thanks for your help, guys! I have to admit that I am really surprised about the green color fading so completely. There is not the slightest trace of it in any corner!
