    1. Veteran Academy... mhhh maybe a kind of appreciation badge of an academy? Don?t really know, what it is, but its definately nice
    2. I totally missed this. I think, its really cool to have an award to a chief secretary I guess, Miss Ivanovna is one of those people, who are responsible, that our researcher finds, what he is looking for Nice group, Bryan. If you ever want to sell it, keep me in mind please.
    3. Here is a camera picture, which shows quite well the concerns with this medal. I am still conviced, its a good one and another collector, who had it in hand, agreed. But what is it really? A good copy or a worn down die?
    4. Interesting, thanks for the info, Rick. The document is definately old and has seen a rough life. Its taped on the reverse and the ink looks indeed old. Nice extra is of course the Guards Unit and the HSU-signature The first number is in my opinion a 0 in that Feldpost number....
    5. Well, i don?t know many people, who have this medal. Although it is in my opinion an interesting an high ranking civilian medal, not too many seem to be interested in it, maybe mostly because of the high price. At least thats, what keeps me away from these. I think, Dave Schwind has a group on his website with a double award of this Medal.
    6. Oh, no, i wish, i had one. But for 300 Dollar i could buy a nice group or half a dozen OGPW?s, so i will probably never own one of those
    7. Thank you, Wilco. I?ll make a picture like requested as well tomorrow. You will see then, the ribbon also looks very new. Thanks again Gerd
    8. Gentlemen, i got this set of documented Long-Service Medals yesterday and would like to ask you to help with the name of this fellow. Starshina Anatoli Konstantinovich ???enko Thanks in advance Gerd
    9. I know, Darrel. Just teasing you. Alexei wants 320 Dollar for a doc
    10. Hi Christian, thanks, i?ll make some pictures with my camera in daylight tomorrow, then you will see the wearing traces most likely. The scans are not good enough to see that, i have to admit. I am not sure at all, that this medal belongs to the document, but they came together, so there is at least a chance that they indeed do belong together, i guess. I?ll post the pictures tomorrow for further discussion.... best, Gerd
    11. Here is the document, which came with this medal. Can someone read the stamp? Rick, any chance?
    12. Thats a beauty, Marcus. Exactly, how i like them, slightly worn. Not that i could afford one
    13. Gentlemen, i got this Stalingrad Medal together with a document yesterday and would like to hear your opinions about it. To me it looks like a worn original, which has been regilded. What do you think? Thanks in advance Gerd
    14. Well, there IS a way to find out, Mr. RESEARCH Nice Medal for Valor, Charles
    15. Here is another picture, where you can see him from the front. Does anyone recognize him? Thanks for looking Gerd
    16. Wow, i bet, he looks so mean, because they made fun of his ears in school
    17. Well, the Masta was fasta But though, as i had them in german, here they are: Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse Frontk?mpferkreuz Schlesischer Adler 1 Stufe Schlesischer Adler 2. Stufe Dienstauszeichung 1. klasse Polizeidienstauszeichungen 1 Stufe SA-Sportabzeichen
    18. Awesome bar, Paul. To find the Lippe crosses on the combattants ribbon is quite scarce, but both on non-combattant ribbon, thats extremly rare. Congrats!
