    1. Rick, you caused an heartattack with this pics and he is still recovering Nice
    2. Yep, Bryan, next reference to buy Ed, great news on the english version
    3. Gilbert, this is just great, you are very very lucky to get something like this in your first research. My first results were not that exiting: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1542 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1541 Thanks for sharing it with us here. best, Gerd
    4. Thank you No unfortunately no Hungarian. I will make a representative Frame with Hungarian awards one day, but i still want some soviet pieces before. Gerd
    5. Bryan, like Rick already pointed out in the other thread, his 3.5 million Red Star and the unnumbered Military Merit Medal are Long-Service awards and you can only expect to get a list with people, who got Long-Service awards on this certain date. So you just have to ask for the award card of Comrade Tsibul'sky(or whatever his name may be) and the citation for the Wartime Red Star and the numbered Military Merit Medal. Its easier for the researcher to find something, if you give him the name of the awardee, but its not a must, if you want to find out, if the group is legit with the research. best, Gerd
    6. Holy Cow, he beat them to death with the Panzerfaust??? He looks like a big and tought guy, even if he?s smiling on the pic. Thanks for the picture, Andrew
    7. Here is a comparison of both Medals. These are definately different dies. Look at the huge differences alone on the soldier. Two different makers?
    8. Yes, please post a picture, if you find it. I would love to see it. Gerd
    9. Andrew, thanks for the reply Yours is absolutely the same, down to the maker mark and the style of the serialnumber. They were most probably both engraved in the same hour You are right, its very likely one of the possibilities, you mentioned. Thanks again Gerd
    10. This is my last Albanian Award, a Medal for Bravery: This seems to be another variation than yours, Eric, right?
    11. Here is an Albanian made pinback version 3rd class:
    12. Thank you I have missed this thread completely. Very nice Awards!!
    13. Thank you, Bryan. I will hold back with my opinion, until others have commented too.
    14. Gentlemen, i have this ORB, which turned out unresearchable and i plan to trade it for another one. The other person in this trade asked me to put this ORB up for discussion and post some pictures, what is IMO very recommendable in these times of endless fakes. So please le me/us know, what you think. Thanks in advance Gerd
    15. What i can see, is that the "4" is totally off and i don?t like the maker mark. They didn?t even bother to put a number on it or maybe they didn?t dare. But i am sure, a newbie will fall for it.
    16. Well, nothing much to add. I normally pay 55-75 Dollar per research with mostly one Award Card and the citation. Classified citations cost more, i paid 30 Dollar for the last one. I am sure, your Screwback-ORB will turn out interesting Gerd
    17. Fantastic collection, Francois, especially as everything belongs to groups I hope, you will start threads about the single groups and tell us the stories of these awards. IMHO this is historically worth much more than a collection of 50 mint, but unattributed Ritterkreuze best, Gerd
    18. Ahhh, thanks for clarification, Andrew Rick was right, i already cried, when he wrote about the food-bit, as i have this group, he ist still teasing me with: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=906 (My very first group and the very first thread on the Soviet Forum ) best, Gerd
    19. Yes, indeed, very much new information Thank you very very much, Rick. You bring these things back to life again Gerd
