    1. The below page is from the Kriegsrangliste der Intendanturbeamten. I have been unable to find the first name for Hoffmeister, the second to last entry on the page. Any help is appreciated. He seemed to have received his RAO after the 1913 Navy RL was published.
    2. This one is a little confusing to me. Here is what I can tell: 1. EK2 2. Looks like long service 3. RAO or HH. I would say RAO 4. Baden 5. Baden 6. SMK Does the combination make sense? If it is a LSC it should be at the end, maybe it is something else What are the two Baden awards? Any help is appreciated.
    3. David, I have the 1908/09 DOA on CD in PDF format for purchase if you would like to buy one. Just send me a PM.
    4. Dave, Thanks, Now I can go about finding examples and making a display. Any idea on #5 anyone?
    5. I have numbered the awards 1-8. I know 2 of them. 1. Red Star 2. 3. Red Banner of Labor 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. He fought in WWII with the 1159th Howitzer Artillery Regiment and the 173rd Howitzer Artillery Brigade. Any help in Iding the awards is greatly appreciated. He was alive in 1978.
    6. The best way to know about his entire career and awards is to obtain his service record from St. Louis. It will cost around $75 and I can suggest a professional research who can get fast. If you work directly with St. Louis it will take about 6 months. PM me if I cna help.
    7. Thanks Dave. The on the right is my grandfather's brother's son or my father's cousin.
    8. Any help with translating the writing on the below pic is appreciated. Also the soldier on the left looks like he has 2 red stars and one OPW, correct? For the one on the right I can't identify the medal below the red star, any help? Thanks.
    9. Sometime looking for the mint condition medal bars you pass up the little gems that belonged to field marshalls!
    10. Thank you all for the help. The new owner will be very pleased with the information. It was recently purchased at the Show of Shows in Louisville, KY, USA.
    11. That is a very good match. I check the SMK NK list and he is not on it, but the rolls are not always 100%. Great Job Dave.
    12. I checked the SMK NK list of which there are 390. His civil service job must/should have been in Bayern. I think the list of the Schaumburg Lippe Order for Arts and Sciences 1st Class may exists. If so, this guy can be found.
    13. A friend of mine recently picked this up. There are four decorations from Bayern on it. The more I look at it the more I think it may be identifiable if the SMK and LD2 can be tracked to a single person from Bayern. You thoughts?
    14. On January 4, 2014 I sent a small package which contained a memory stick to Germany. It arrived at the persons mail box 40 DAYS LATER. Unbelievable, I could have talked it there faster.
