    1. Hi, Nice ribbon bar. About the Oldenburg ribbon, it may be for the knight cross of the Oldenburg House and Merit Order of Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig. Christophe the last ribbon may be the Sweden Schwert Orden too.
    2. Hi Welcome here. First you need to buy some books about what you're collect. Then you need to learn about order and medals. Don't hesitate to read posts and ask questions here. About books, you can find in the Autengruber's website a lot of Roll's books. They are very important to have them if you want to do your own research. Christophe
    3. The man on the card is Albert Tasche, even if he was born in the Lippe country he served all his career in the Saxon unit. During the war he was in the RIR Nr. 107. So that's why he wore the saxon medals first.
    4. Thanks for your reply. I have no idea if this one match with Tasche. But for me, it's a pure wartime ribbon bar. I have another one from Oberstleutant von Heygendorff who never wore all his pre war ribbons. He has chosen to wear only the wartime ribbon. I have the big ribbon bar of von Süßmilch and a photo of him during the war showing only small wartime ribbon bar. The clue here is the LK but like you said before, with 22000 names it will be impossible to find which saxon officers has got this cross. Christophe
    5. Hi Chuck, No those medals doesn't belong to Hauptmann Tasche. I want to recreate this group. I will put them under glass as soon as I receive the knight cross 1st class with X of Albert Order of Saxe. Like I have a wartime ribbon bar including SH3, SA3X, EK2, LK, it is probably from Tasche but I have no idea.
    6. Hi everybody, Her is new medal from Lippe Detmold : Erinnerungsmedaille an den erstrittenen Thronanspruch 1905
    7. Thanks Charles, I hope one day being so lucky to buy a nice commander cross of St Henry. It's difficult to find a good one to good price and of course in good condition.. Nos I have 4 ribbon bars of Saxon officers who received SH2b. Like this cross is much rarer than Pour le Mérite, I am happy. Christophe
    8. Hi, a lot of saxon officers served with Turkish Army but not units as well. Like I said it is probably a Prussian officer who served there. May be if you have Marine Ranglisten from 1918 you can check on it and see if there is a match. Christophe
    9. Thanks Eric, I hope one day being lucky to buy a good pilot badge and an Ehrenbecher ! I will continue my research and try to find what he did after WW1. Christophe
    10. Chris, This is not sure this is a Saxon bar. Indeed, if so the Albrecht order should be in first place. If the EK2 is in first place it is definitly a Prussian bar. Christophe
    11. Hi everybody, Recently I was lucky enough to get this very nice mini chain which belonged to Leutnant der Reserve Walter Dittrich. It is composed by SA3bX, SHMg, SHMs, EK2. Of course the rarity is about the SHMg. Only 150 were awarded during the Great War and only three men received it as flyer. He received the following orders : SA3bX, ? probably at the end of 1918 or after. SHMg, 24 juillet 1917, SHMs, 31 octobre 1916, EK2, 14 janvier 1916, EK1, ? Pilot badge, 13 janvier 1916, Ehrenbecher, 1917 Wound badge, probably silver or gold, 1918. Here is photo of Dittrich from the following book : Ehrenbuch der Inhaber der Sächsische Goldenen Militär St Heinrichs-Medaille, Dresden, Selbst Verlag, 1936, 264 p. There is a little biography on the O’CONNOR (N.W.), Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany in World War One, vol. 3, The Kingdom of Saxony, Princeton, New Jersey, 1993, 279 p. As you can see, he has chosen to wear the Albert Order before the SHMg. I have in my collection a small ribbon bar which have the same combo (both SH ribbons and after the SA3 ribbon. I have no idea if it is from the same man or not. I can only imagine. I think about the ribbon bar that this one the first ribbon is for the knight cross of St Henry and after the SHMs. That's why both ribbons are ahead the SA ribbon. Christophe
    12. Hello, Does someone know how many crosses for Bravery 1915 1916 and 1915 1917 have been given in WW1? Thanks for your help Christophe @new world, your cross is very very nice. Do you have the original box to go with it ? Do you know how many crosses were awarded for that rank ? Christophe
    13. Hi, It's the first time for me I see such cross on photo, and more particulary for the Saxon Army Christophe
