Hi, The place is near Metz in France Christophe -
Hi, Here is my new Saxon officer ribbon bar. The combo is very interesting. When I saw it before buying it I thought it will be easy to id this bar. Hélas non ! Indeed, after reading the Reichswehr Ranglisten, I have found exactly one officers who wore the same Imperial combo : SH3, SV3aX, SA3aXKr, EK2, HHO3X I have found two others officers who wore one medal more, the SDA. Oberst Schubert Oberstleutnant Körner Our man was still alive after 1934, he received the Hindenburg cross and he wore the two Whermacht long services. He probably decided not to wear the Saxon long service ribbon but only the two Whermacht ribbons. I have a doubt. Indeed our man has received the Albert Order without cross before the war and it is probably the clue. So I decide to look after all the officers who received the HHO3X during the war. The list contains 182 names. After some research I have a short list of 10 names and only two wore the SA3a before the war. Oberstleutnant Wilhelm Frhr von Hammerstein-Loxten Major Emil Schmidt. I have nothing after 1932. I don’t know if they were reactived after 1935 So if someone has got information about those two officers, thanks for your help. Christophe

Hi, You are right about one point this cross was awarded only 141 times during WW1. I think I know from who you are talking as dealer. To be honest with you, I don't understand why he breaks the group. For me a dealer with his reputation can't do this, there is no excuse. Like some medals has been sold, not the group is broken for ever. Christophe
