    3. Hello, Nice medal bar. With the Reuß medal, it can be said that there is connection with Jäger Btn Nr. 13 (whose Chef was the Prinz of Reuß) It is possible to have some close up of the Spanish medal please ? Chrisotphe
    4. You are right Alex, and after looking at all my Saxon photos, I find this one. Our man received the SV3aX after SH3 and SA3aXKr. Christophe
    5. Hello, Usually, the SAO was awarded first, then the SVO and to finish the SHO. Here is the theory, some unit gave a little SVO to officers and some others unit, we can find that all officer who received the SHO, have received first the SAO and the SVO. It's a good question and I will see in the text if there is something written about this. Christophe
    6. Matt, I have found 6 officers who in RL 1925 has the following combo : EK2, HHO3X, BZ3bX - Hauptmann Laule - Hauptmann von Scheele - Hauptmann Taschke - Hauptmann Henn - Oberleutnant von Gallwitz - Oberleutnant Graf von Sponeck I have no RL after 1932 so I can't help you for awards in WW2 Christophe
    7. Jeremy, You can find more info here : http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7164&st=0&p=257946&hl=Griepenkerl&fromsearch=1&#entry257946 Christophe
    8. Hello, Kurt Gripenkerl served during WW1 in the FAR Nr. 19. He received the following medals : Both iron crosses, knight cross 2nd class with X White Falcon of Saxe Weimar, Hamburg Hanseatic cross, Brunswick War cross 2nd and 1st class and wound badge in black. Christophe
    9. Hi Matt, Very nice ribbon bar. Your analyse is correct. This officer finished the WW1 with grade of second or first Lieutenant. He probably served in the Reichsheer (need to read the RL to find it ) During WW2, he served, like you said "in a desk job capacity". He was probably Oberstleutnant or Oberst. On your bar there is only one mistake. It concern the Austrian ribbon which, theoricaly, should be after the long service ribbon. There is no explanation about that choice Christophe
    10. Hi Timo, Great find you have made here. A very lovely medal bar. I think you should ask to Daniel Krause, who is the specialist of Kingdom of Wurttemberg, about your questions. Christophe
    11. A very nice Prussian medal. It is the second one I see in such condition. Thanks for sharing with us Christophe
