    1. Hi, I saw this one too and was very interrested to bid on it. but the combo is strange. Like you said, the RE3X m. Kr was for Captain. If it is a RE3X only the combo would be nicer than this one. Just my two cents Christophe
    2. Hi, Tsar Ferdinand was Chief of I.R. Nr. 72 Here is shoulderboards from this unit. Christophe
    3. Hi Christer, Very nice photo you have there. I like photo of officers showing Lippe cross. I have found one Potthoff Rudolf who was Leutnant d. R. Rick will give you more informations about Lippe. I am like you, I'm waiting for his new books. I've already shown it before, here is the War Heroic cross with box. Regards Christophe
    4. Paul, I want to be the first to congrat you for this very impressive purchase. Great research too Christophe
    5. Here are photos of the trapezoidal ribbon bar from Luke. Very nice indeed Christophe
    6. Hi, Don't worry. I am a fanatic of the hallmark that's all. usually the hallmarks are on the arm, like on the Hohenzollern knight cross. If it is an Altenburg knight cross you would probably find the following hallmark : EE. So if there is nothing your knight cross is probably from Saxe Coburg Gotha or Saxe Meiningen. Why I ask that ? If your cross is from Altenburg, like there are less crosses awarded that two others it would be, noteasy, but possible with Lippe rolls, trying to identify this very nice medal bar. Christophe
    7. Hi everybody, here is one of my new Saxon ribbon bar. The combo is very interresting. Indeed, Saxe connection with Saxe Weimar. It indicate that our man came from the Karabiner Regiment whose Chief was Wilhelm Ernst von Sachsen Weimar. But we can find Finnland ribbons : from 1918 to 1939-40. Some few names appears : If the ALbert knight cross is 1st class with X, we have probably the following name : Major a. D. Walther von Ehrenkrook But if the Albert knight cross is from 2nd class with X, we have the following name : Leutnant Ernst Guenther Of course there is probably more names but for the moment that's all I have. Christophe
    8. A great man, a great searcher, simply a friend.

    9. Another interrogation. Like Rick said above, the Wurttemberg ribbon is a mystery here. Without device it is clearly a NCO or soldier award. It is strange that an officer forget to put device to his order. . so if we can have more photos of the Hohenzollern device, we can be sure about the medal. Christophe
    10. Hi, Very nice ribbon bar indeed It is possible that the ante-penultimate ribbon is from Waldeck and not from Reuss. Probably the device for the HOhenzollern shoul be in gold. About that, can you show us a close up of the device please, to be sure. So it is possible that this officer received the WV4 and during the War, he received SMK, SF3bX and HHO3X. Will see in the Rick's books if we can find something. Regards Christophe
    11. Hi Paul, Nice treasures you find, congrats Did you buy the medal bar with Brunswick House Order ? Christophe
    12. Thierry, Do you use the photo I send to you last time ? Originally the back of the photo is red, why is it white now ? The photo of this nice medal bar is shown in one Saxon book : Die Orden des Königreiches Sachsen. I think it is important to note that Where do you find photo of Jungnickel please ? Christophe
    13. Oberst Fürstenau. He's still wearing his trapezoidal ribbon bar (SA1 and SDA). He probably received his new medals when he was taken in photo. Christophe
    14. Major von Kirchbach. Note that he wore the Bavarian medal without swords before the Wurttember knight cross with X of the Crown Order. Very strange Christophe
    15. Hi , Thanks for your comments. It is interresting to note that the two parts were sold by different sellers. And now this group is in my home Christophe
    16. Hi Tom, Congrats for your purchase, very nice medal bar with rare combo Do you find an hallmark on the EH3bX. It can help to know if it came from Saxe Coburg, Altenburg or Meiningen. Thanks Christophe
