Show us Daniel, Show us. I know it is very rare. But I like it I have read in the Klietmann's book that only 53 knight cross with lions and swords were awarded during the WW1 Do you the how many of them have been awarded before 1914. I haven't got the data in my files. Thanks. Christophe -

Very nice group This officer may have received the first Austrian medal when he was an NCO and the second one when he was officer (?sterreich Milit?r Verdienst Kreuz mit Kriegsdekoration). Can you make a close up of the wreath please ? Regards Christophe

You are probably right Paul. If you are member of the BDOS in Germany, you can write in every Landesarchiv and they answer you very quickly. Are you a member of the BDOS ? I have received a letter this morning from Baden Archiv. And there is no problem, they found my officer and I need to pay for the files. That's all. Try one more time. Regards Christophe
