For me this is not a Freikorps badge. I have look the Deutsche Freikorps from Lothar Hartung. No insignias like that. May be this book is not complete. I don't know. Probably not an official Stahlelm badge. Private or not ? Regards Christophe

Sorry Paul, I found nothing. Like I though, no Baden knight cross with X during the war. May be we can find some info in an old unit history before the war. Do you write to Baden Archives ? Hi, I have never had problem with him. I have bought severals items to him. The only problem I have had is with the German post (I've received the packet 2 months after bidding ).
