"Lettres-patentes" (1810) pour un baron autrichien : EJG de Beaumont de Saint-Quentin, chevalier de l'Ordre de Marie-Thérèse (1792). Campagnes 1792 - 1799 (Stockach); 1805, 1809. Colonel commandant la Landwehr à Vienne où il mourut en 1813. -

Other "lettres-patentes": - given in Paris on March 9 1810, granting the title of knight to "Benoit Pistre, squadron leader in the 18th regiment of dragoons, member of the LoH". - given in Bayonne on April 24 1808, granting the title of count of the Empire to "Pierre-François Réal, commander in the LoH, state counseler". -

Very very nice with the seal! Joseph Charles Lérivint (Saumur dec. 12 1776 - near Moskau sept. 25 1812). Squadron chief in the dragoons of the Imperial Guard, he fights in Spain and is killed in Russland during a reconnaissance in a fight against cossacks near the Prince Galitzin's castle. -

Hello! I would like to present here some award documents from my collection. France. Légion d'Honneur. - Grand Cross for Lacépède, who was Grand Chancellor of the Order under the Empire. - Officer cross for colonel O'Meara. - Commander cross for the former major of the Polish Lancers of the Guard. (He also received the cross of the Virtuti Militari (I'll present this one later). - "Brevet d'honneur", for a rifle of honor awarded for the battle of Marengo. -Very rare document from the Hundred Days period. - -
Créée en 1797 par le prince-évêque Chistoph Franz von Busek en faveur des sous-officiers et soldats du contingent impérial de Bamberg pour récompenser leur bravoure. Avers : les armes de Bamberg couronnées, sous une guirlande, posées sur des tambours et un faisceau de drapeaux. Revers : dans une couronne de lauriers, le texte en quatre lignes : LOHN / DER / TAPFER / KEIT. Sous le nœud de la couronne, un poinçon. (W ?).

Created by King Joseph (1808), kept by King Joachim Napoleon and suppessed by King Ferdinando IV (1819). Here a King joseph's era model and a King Ferdinando's era model (half size). I am looking for copies of the decrees of attribution ( 18.05.1808, 19.05.1808, 20.5.1808, 18.06.1808, 28.09.1808, 24.10.1808, 28.10.1808, 24.11.1808, 03-07.1809, 19.08.1810, 14.09.1810, 13-05.1813, 23.05.1813, 19.04.1814). Hello! Franz Wetzel recieved as "chef de bataillon du 2e de ligne" the Order of the Crown of Westphalia (Knight 2d class) (november 9 1812), and the knight cross of the Legion of Honor (march 7 1813). He was also knight of the "Ordre de la Vertu Militaire de Hesse. (see my book: Histoire de distinctions honorifiques du royaume de Westphalie). Have a good evening David!

Hello! There are several variants of uniface medals. They were less expensive than the two-sided models. They could be acquired to be worn or displayed in a frame. They were made by most French manufacturers.

Hi David, On september 28, 1813, Chernishev attacked Kassel. Despite a strong defense led by the old general von Schlieffe, the French had to withdraw by the road of Frankfurt. They will however retake the city on october 1813. S I Think the one who will be governor of the city in september 1813 must be Chernishev.
