    1. Wish I could come closer, but I can definately say that it has the "look" of a vet's decoration ribbon.
    2. May be the first time I've ever seen Mr. Crowley quoted in a military history context...
    3. I've seen a similar ribbon, being used on a regimental commemorative (don't remember the regiment though). Instead of the blue and yellow outer stripes, it had very narrow white stripes with a black stripes about twice as wide on the outside.
    4. In the context of this bar, does the Verdienstmedaille der Seeverkehrswirtschaft make any sense? I'm really out of my element here, but I presume some sort of naval border patrol, if it's indeed legit. Thanks, --Chris
    5. As someone who likely has the ID of a lapel bow and possibly a few ribbon bars riding on the material in these books, I am most certainly interested. However, I'd like to see even a vague ballpark figure before making a commitment. (I want to be sure that I'll actually be able to meet the commitment.)
    6. It's that rare of a combo? Best I was hoping for was a particular regiment with the requisite cross-pollination.
    7. Soon to be headed my way, courtesy of one of our esteemed forumites, is this lapel bow. Anyone have any thoughts as to what sorts of enlisted man / NCO would have been in a position to earn Saxon and Schwarzburg decorations?
    8. Order of the Crown of India & the Order of the Star of India are on a ribbon quite similar to the Greek Redeemer.
    9. Purchased at two different times from two different dealers, this reunited pair taunts me with it's unidentified ribbon. (RR can attest to the depths of my insanity in this regard.)
    10. Hence the caption: "There were definately SS units that incorporated the name / job description"
    11. It was my understanding that the army propaganda units changed thier names somewhere in 1943 or so, however I've only just begun to research this subject. There were definately SS units that incorporated the name / job description:
