    1. Rest assured Chris, they were. Joe, I totally agree. The Grubenwehr in specific is one of the nicest 16mm minis you can find.
    2. It's nice to see this tread go on. One of my later acquisitions, nothing special, but I really enjoy the ornamented button by Meybauer. Definately the first one for me. I hope you enjoy.
    3. I can appreciate the difficulties in translating this motto, I assume even Swedes will find it hard. "För" is "for" and "hem" is "home". The Swedish word "härd" has several meanings i.g. open fire-place, home, quiet corner, point of origin etc. In this context I would suggest "native place" or "home district".
    4. Thanks Iver, much appreciated I noticed the present Vienna shield is identical, except for the lack of crown and with a single headed eagle, hence my assumption. cheers Peter
    5. Here's a tiny cross I picked up this weekend, 31x21mm. I assume the coat of arms is the imperial version for the City of Vienna. Any ideas about the significance of this badge? cheers Peter
    6. I've got an identical medal and made some inquiries a few years ago on several forums, no luck though. Perhaps it's a creation of the League of Nations. cheers Peter
    7. Gents, I've got two questions regarding German Imperial miniature chains, which might seem obvious, but still unclear to me and perhaps you can help me out. I've encountered two types i.e. one with two pins for attaching the set and the decorations going in precedence from left to right. The other type is with a metal button on the right, precedence going from right to left. The 1st type I assume would be positioned above the left upper breast pocket on civilian clothes, but what about the 2nd type i.e. where is the metal button supposed to be inserted? Further more, what's the reason for the difference in order of precedence?
    8. Here's a nice little ribbon bar I reiceved from a good friend this Christmas It's the same as Rick's Order of War Victory, but Im not sure what class it might be. Any additional info would be be greatly appreciated
    9. Hi Dan, I wild guess would be a Morigi product, the week image in his catalogue appears to be similar. cheers Peter
    10. Thanks Don, I found the thread. This is the flop-side of having an old edition of Hüsken's book cheers Peter
    11. Gents, a little bit of help would be greatly appreciated. I've searched high and low for the significance of the badge to the right on the enclosed image. Hüsken has several similar designed badges, still not identical to this one. Perhaps some connection to the Bund Deutscher Osten on the left? cheers Peter
    12. Hi Bo, It's always tricky to judge a photo, but IMHO this one doesn't feel right. My concerns are the lack of the date, the colour of the base-metal and the presence of a PK-number.
    13. Thanks Paul. You're correct about Wehrlich, that's a dead end. cheers Peter
    14. Thanks George, that's a good start. Any chance you can direct me to some reference books or other sources, dealing with the criterias and general information about this medal? cheers Peter
    15. Any information about this medal would be greatly appreciated cheers Peter
