    1. The blue and white lace is the Bayerische kragenborte.exclusive of the Bavarian Army if you look closely you can observe that the colours are in lozenge shape. the bavarian collar lace was not weared during 1914 it was introduced during 1915 and later was reduced to the front of the collar

    8. The six men with a MG wears a lower cockade on their cap bands which appears to be bavarian of one of the models in use ,that is white with a light blue center . but they not wear the bavarian collar borte .
    9. Its possible ,judging by the officer who appears on the right of the photo ,on his collar is clearly visible the bavarian borte .apart his portepee or swordknot is the oval shaped bavarian model .
    10. gfh : After the occupation by the Free French Forces of Syria , General De Gaulle envisaged the neccesity of a Military Airline with the task of establish the contact among all the territories controlled by the Free France. He asignated the task to Lionel de Marmier a officer of the Free French Air Forces . the Lignes Aeriennes Militaires were created in Damascus with flying material surrendered by the Vichy Forces .In September of 1941 they realized the first liaison from Damascus to The Cairo ,after this they fly between Damascus and Brazzaville.the Airline was very useful and accordingly was expanded .

A certain Mr Dragos Diaconu manufacture high quality Romanian uniforms .

But prior to the Regiments existed Detachments of JzP and one was allocated to the Garde and carried litzen and Garde Star. well , the man is a kurassier .either a Garde du Corps or a Garde Kurassier. Regarding the second pic , Grey C precised the period of the photo .

The Leutnant wears what appears as a Jaeger Zu Pferde (Garde ) uniform .on the side of his long trousers are visible the green double lampassen. curiously ,the uniform looks as a m 1910 .The other man perhaps belongs to the Provisional Reichswehr . and the three blue stripes are his badge of rank
    19. The 8th of October 1918 the IR 186 received his own Minenwerfer Company formed with elements detached from MW Kompagnie N56. The Regiment was created in the year 1915. near Roye France

Dear filfoster , Probably not was someone the brain who imagined the brainchild .knowing the nature of the German military machine and their officials the thing had many fathers. remember that during the Empire existed the four stars General in the rank of a Field Marshall .but not a Field Marshall. Remember too the nearly obssesive practice of the German Army during Empire or TR about the assignation of various types of shoulder boards to mark clearly the position ,class and rank of the wearer .
