I too have been on the "look out" for one of these but I'm not sure which one to buy. colonial medals are very interesting but VERY confusing due to the vast number and styles of clasp. Please, show us the new medal. I'm a Foreign Legion buff so I'm a bit jealous, I was too Chicken Sh** to join so I joined the US Army which is actually more in line with my family history anyway.

I got this about 10 years ago and another about 6 years ago. Both are the same and are silver. I don't think theres a difference from the grand officer and the grand cross until the 4th republic changed the grand cross to gold. Please educate me if I'm wrong...

I'm a huge fan of the Michael the Brave order and enjoy Romanian militaria collecting. I must say it's not commonly found these days, especially uniform items. Does anyone on this forum collect Romanian uniforms or decorations?
