interesting and nice piece! is it possible to get a pic of the reverse? christian
-
i would translate it with Front (front) K?mpfer (fighters) Buch (association) - and they most probably existed between the wars. nothing really specific, but i at least don't even know any kind of reference material about such items. christian

Belgium Belgian Group WW1
Christian L replied to g_deploige's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
nice group and great order of the crown! up to now i have seen a similar "designed" wreath only ones on a frech legion of honor knight and i was so "cought" at it! (sadly i wasn't able to buy it - but i guess, i'll never forget how nice it was made compared to so many "normal" decorations!) thats craftsmenship in high-end-class! thanks for sharing christian -
very nice grouping!!! can you post the story, why he got the MoH? and as a side note - the way you display his medals is candy for the eyes, sadly a museum curator like the one who is working in this museum doesn't have any feeling for medals and only such a person can put them the way he is don't! and the repair on the legion-of-honor-knight wouldn't be a big problem as the seelwax can everytime heated again and the repair is "un-done". christian

Estonia Estonia - Firefighters Badge
Christian L posted a topic in Northern European & Baltic States
does someone have info about this badge - from the colors and everything i would say its from estonia and the way it looks seems to be a firefigthers badge - but thats all i can tell. hope some others can do more. christian -
the back is plain withe enamel - its from the champer of commerce and trade from oldenburg and was awarded between the wars. this is the second class, the frist class is a vaulted cross in the same design but with no enamel on the reverse - but a vertical pin. christian found a pic of a frist class:

Oberschleisen Verdeinstkreuz
Christian L replied to Ingsoc's topic in Germany: Weimar Republic & Deutsche Freikorps
its a non common decoration for sure - but the value is hard to tell, as there is only a small amount of collectors which are specialiced in these. so my guess for an undamaged one would be between 100.- and 300.- euro (you just need to find the buyer for it who is looking for one - but this might take a little time) hope i was able to help a little christian -

Soviet stupid beginners question ...
Christian L replied to Christian L's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
wow - thanks a lot for the replys to all! and yes, i'm very interested in the researchable stuff also with the small listing of possibilities i might be able to get. (wrote the info down now - and in 2 weeks i try to go to a medalshow and we'll see, what i'm able to bring home ) and you'll be the frist to have a look at it! still a lot to learn and keeping in mind - but with the items in hand it'll be much easier i guess (might this be a good explanation for enlarging the collecting field ) thanks much to all christian
