    2. 50, 60 or 80€ for one picture is not realy a high price, Depend on what kind of picture this are regular prices. I see pictures went for more than 400€ and more than one time. Pictures for more than 200€ are normal for aviation or tank theme. I bought several times pictures for more than 70€ and was outbid more time for this amount. Regards Alex

    4. Yes this man cames originaly from Flieger Ersatz Abteilung Nr 13. But they kept the number of the replacement unit after the tranfer on the front. Not possible to say where or when this picture was taken. Probalble this guy was a ground crew member but it could be also flight crew member. Regards Alex
    5. Hi Mercin, i think the book is in german. About the german Flieger Bataillone (FB) here some basic infos. Flieger Bataillon Nr. 1 Flieger Bataillon Nr. 2 Flieger Bataillon Nr. 3 Flieger Bataillon Nr. 4 Bayerisches Flieger Bataillon On the bottom you find a section called "durch das Bataillon aufgestellte Abteilungen" Means units introduced by this battalion. The number on the strapes of EM and NCO are assigned to the Flieger-Ersatz-Abteilungen not to Flieger Batallion. During the war there were no battalions. This were transfered to the units you find behind the links. Officer wear no number on the strapes only the winged propeller or the strapes of their regiment. Regards Alex
    6. Hi Marcin, this is a complex issue and i don't think i can cover it with some sentences. But there is a new book about the imperial german aviation comming out the next months. I have this info from the author. I'm sure this book answer all your questions. I will write more when i get infos from the author. If you are interessted on this topic you should spend the money for this book. Regarding the identification of personal on pictures is more difficult. There are no guidlines how to distinguish this. It depend on the situation and on the hints from the picture itself. Regards Alex
    7. The name on the first picture is Lt.z.S.d.R. Lommatzsch from I. SFA 10.09.15 Vz.Strm.Mt.d.R. moved to I. MFA for observer training 08.03.16 observer badge 09.01.17 moved to SFS Constanza (Romania) 13.04.18 moved to SFS Libau 13.04.18 Ehrenpreis Depend on the date this picture could be taken on the Baltic area or on Romania.     8. I found this old thread and i would like to show this nice case with a miniature of a pilot badge on the top and a engraved signature of Hptm Albert von Malortie. This was a gift from Malortie to LtdR Heinrich Kessler pilot and OzbV at FA A 284. Kessler was a long time member of FFA 58 / FA A 284 from 1916 to 1918. Regards Alex

    11. The imperial German navy air service hat units for both see planes and land planes. All land based units are under the command of the Landfliegerabteilung (LFA) The see based units are either under the command of I. Seefliegerabteilung (I. SFA) or II. Seefliegerabteilung (II. SFA).     15. Hi Demir, i'm not an expert on this topic but the badge you mention is a known model. I see this on several pictures. I already posted this picture on another thread but it match here. This guy wear the same badge like Buddecke except the position of the wing. This picture is from 21st Thies auction. Regards Alex
    16. The Meybauer badge is a modern copy as seen on abey on mass. Meybauer turkish pilot badges looks different. Regards Alex
