    1. Hi Glenn Thanks for that. What would the abbreviation WV2 stand for? And what would the militairy equivalent of his medical rank be? Could you also tell me what the source is for the (second image) of full-career data? regards David
    2. Hi I am looking for a scan of an entry of Heinrich Christian K?nig a former kurhessian in later (post 1866) prussian service, pensioned 1877 as Ober-Stabsarzt. Unfortunately there are no real hints as to the kind of prussian regiments he went into (most likely around Kassel, where he presumably died in 1886). His former Regiments in kurhessian service were the 2nd Husars and the Artillerie. In my list he is mentioned as in the 1. Infanterie-Regiment, whilst the source of Heinrich Christian K. does not mention this regiment, but is not at all complete for the remainder of his career, so I do have high hopes H.C.K. is still my unnamed recipient of the CHW4. Thanks a lot. regards David
    3. Oh, That Is Just Terrible. No wonder that we could not find him any where else!! Another General... ..thanks a lot Regards David
    4. Hi I checked SF and he did not become a General. Would there be a Stammliste on the FAR10?
    5. Hi I am looking for the careerdetails of the Baden (later prussian) officer Karl Freiherr von Stetten. I have him as a Major in FAR 10 in 1874. I am looking for him because he will be in my publication regarding the kurhessian Wilhelmsorder. Thanks a lot regards David
    6. Hi I am looking for the details of the career of the imperial russian General Aleksej Petr. (ovich??) Achmatoff (in various varieties) Would anyone be able to help me to it? Thanks a lot regards David
    7. Hi! I am looking for some careerdates of a Generalmajor from Baden by the name of Freiherr von Roggenbach. Actually, I know he was Commandeur der Reiterei for some time. The thing is, I just don't know wheter it was Heinrich or Constantin Freiherr fon Roggenbach is the one I am looking for. I am guessing this could be in the Schr?der volumes, could anyone help me out here? Thanks!! regards David
    8. Hi! (and thanks for calling me an expert ) Well indeed the 3rd and last Elector did not award any kind of campaign specific medals. However finding something just by excluding all other possibilities is never a conclusive methode in my opinion. Certainly as there does not seem to be any kind of other kurhessian medal (the only one eligible would be the 25 years service cross for officers) a kurhessian officer, however likely by the missing of other medals, could have only been a low-ranking one (pre-Major) who got into prussian service 1866. And most of them did. I will look up the specific numbers for you later today, but think in 80-100 from the top of my head. So kurhessian?: possible, however in my opinion an identification would not very likely to be made. should someone feel different about my ideas above, please don't hesitate to correct me David
    9. Would the 1849 version be also the one which was handed to foreign troops aiding the Grandduke in his struggle, like prussian and a well.....kurhessians ?
    10. Hi Would anyone have the regimental history of FAR 6 (silesian)? Please make yourself known .... looking for more details on a FAR6 officer (ret. 1871) Thank a lot regards David
    11. Hi Daniel Much appreciated. Tomorrow I will visit the Royal Library at The Hague in order to get some of the details I need. They do have the Priesdorf and a complete set of Prussian Statecalenders since 1850 orso, but not the Kleist volumes you mentioned. regards David
    12. Hi Daniel Thanks for that! Can't say I am familiar with Kleist, would you have the full bibliography on that? Regards David
    13. Hi I am trying to find out the career details of Carl Eduard Becker, who according to my records was a prussian GM by 18.11.1886 however, does not seem to be in the SF series by Priesdorf. Maybe this has something to do with him being from Hessen-Darmstadt originally? However some other former HD Generals are in SF so I am really puzzled about that. Could someone help me with career and ODM? That would be a great addition to my CHWO entry on him Thanks in advance regards David
    14. Hi I cannot place picturs myself, but I am trying to determine the possible date of a picture I have (of a kurhessian GM who also got the CHWO2a, the order I am researching at the moment). As one of the GC present on the photo is rather vague, I hope you can provide me with a clear and high dpi picture of: a Grand Cross of the Sachson Albrecht Orden a Grand Cross of the Sachon-Ernestine House Order Thanks a lot in advance regards David
    15. Hi One of the recipients of the CHWO4 also received the PKO1XaR and at the same time, his entry in the DOA also states a PKO3XaR. My question: How can one wear several grades of 1 order at the same time. Is it specific for this PKO or does it have anything to do with the XaR? Hope you can tell me more regards David
    16. Hi Eric, please don't thake this the wrong way, bu I didnot know that Falcons were fullgrown doves. On the other hand, the smaller they get the more peacefull they are. Really amazing
