Eagle in black
ashley58 replied to KMNZ's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
sorry for the delay i have been looking through a few references, but i am afraid i can`t find an answer as the only personnel (beside the mechanics) would of been the HG tank crews because i don`t think the mech overalls has breast eagles applied? If you can locate the the three volume set on the L/W the answer may be there π Good luck. -

Hello, here are some better pictures of one of the crossed i will post more when i can relocate them π This particular cross has the 25 yr oakleaf cluster and though not shown has 2 holes in further up the band so it looks as though it may of had a bar attached some time.

Hi all, the reverse of the first class has been posted before on here but have included it again. All of us are eager to see closer shots of the EKs and the reverse of 1st Class Also The bar is given only few times and to get an original will be nearly impossible task There are so many fakes of them on the market especially eBay Germany Hi Peter i have long wanted a 1914 bar, have seen two lately (but both with repaired pins) but have resisted due to cost π as other projects have to be finished....

Hi to all here is a shot of my 1870 EK`s for your enjoyment. I know the type `B` has the wrong band on it but that's how i acquired the cross almost 40 yrs ago

Kriegsmarine badges
ashley58 replied to Martyn's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Hi, sorry for the delay in answering but i disposed of my Kriegsmarine books long ago but am sure the small anchor badge is worn on the swimming trunks /but in all honesty i am thinking they may be Bundesmarine as they bear no resemblance(in my mind) to Kriegsm. badges ?? cheers Ashley
