    1. And here is Nr2-a very fine example in good condition. Now I need this one in cloth and everything is perfect! Micha
    2. Not my collecting field, but I could not resist to add these two badges to my collection.Nr.1 has lost the pin,the backside is clearly stamped with an "A" for Assmann. The silvering is nearly complete gone.
    3. Something new in my collection-This one is really hard to get,a nice L/53 screwback with a clearly stamped maker mark! Now I need the pinback variation to fill the next gap...... Micha
    4. Rick, could it be one of these? Micha http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7262
    5. Then it isn't one of the lead copies-but from the pics this piece is very suspect to me...... Micha
    6. There is an easy way to find out if this one is a "lead" one-scatch it over a white sheet of paper. If you can see a grey line it's one of these casted fakes.I tried that with '39 zinc pieces....no grey lines! Micha
    7. OK,her we are...first the pics of the Gallipoli Star.Unfortunately the little"dot" is missing, but I've bought it just pecause of the pin. Micha
    8. No red flags at the moment-I just want to see the crown,W and the date to compare it with some pieces in my own picture database. I've got a screwback EK in my collection that could have the washer you need-it's not the same type of course, but here's a pic of the reverse. Micha
    9. Where are the experts for the Gallipoli Star?-I've bought one in the hope to find a connection between "AWS" and these wonderful iron crosses with the blued sheetmetal core.Unfortunately it seems to be that they are to different.....How many pin variations are known on these award made by "AWS"? Micha
    10. Terry, could you post a good pic of the obverse? About the case I agree with Rick-it could be a jewelers case for medals ect..... Micha
    11. Sometimes the prices at Ebay went crazy, but sometimes......a 1914 EK1 cardbox for the price of a maker marked 2nd class! Micha
    12. This is a good one-"KO" is the maker with the most variations,so this one here(without seeing the maker mark) looks very good to me.Wartime made and in very good condition. It would be interesting how many different "KOs" 2nd class we could find here..... Micha
    13. Sorry,I'm late here...after rading some coments at the WAF I'm a little bewildered. Meybauer, not a legit screwback.......Gentlemen,please compare the core here with a regular, common "Deumer" without a "blob".That's all-In my opinion Nan Sus Screwback EK is a typical, textbook clamshell EK made by "Deumer.Of course this is the "regular" size for the TR EKs,but there's also a "Schinkel" variation! I would take this one in a second-for me a good, clean clamshell EK made by Deumer in excellent condition! Just my two cents... Micha
    14. From the pin my first thought was "Square",but the core is totally different. So unfortunately the answer to your question will stay in the dark...but may be one of the others will know more! Micha
