    1. Prof. Dr. Rudolf Ferdinand von Leuthold (1832-1905) Generalstabsarzt der Armee 1901-1905 I?ve scanned a short biography of him from the book "Die Kaiser Wilhelms-Akademie f?r das milit?r?rztliche Bildungswesen" by Schmidt 1910. Yes, he was high decorated with the Komturkreuz des Hausordens von Hohenzollern (this order is always with a crown ) and was for 4 years the highest military medical of Prussia and also for a few years the doctor of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
    2. Hi Paul, I believe both lists are very usefull. I?ve got originals and it was not tooooo difficult to get them by German searching sites for second hand books (1918 Navy about 100 Euro, 1924 Reichsheer about 40 Euro). It may be, that the response to this thread is not so good, because the interested collectors have originals and the other don?t want to spent money for originals or for cheaper copies. May be, it is also the question that one want to have the "real thing". I often use my reprint of the "Ehrenrangliste des ehemaligen Deutschen Heeres von 1914", but I thougt it over to buy an original of that, even if it makes no difference in the content and use... best regards, Komtur.
    3. Half a year ago I was bidding 1400 Euro on a bar and mini-chain (see pics) There was a bill to the mini-chain giving a name of a Dr. to this bar. But also with that identification I was sure to get this bar. It goes to another maniac for 1.500 Euro + 22% = 1.830 Euro With regards, Komtur.
    4. We talked today on the Berlin Militaria B?rse about this question. A well informed collector was sure, that every person serving in 1897 and before in a Prussian unit, was entitled to the so called Zentenarmedaille. As I suggested before, Schuon could wear this medal because of his studies 22.10.1885 - 15.3.1890 on the "Kaiser Wilhelms-Akademie f?r das milit?r?rztliche Bildungswesen" in Berlin (See his entry in the Stammliste der Kaiser Wilhelms-Akademie 1910). This academy was responsible for the education of the Prussian military medicals. From 1872 also persons from W?rttemberg could study there. They change from this Prussian institution to the Sanit?tskorps of the W?rttemberg army after studies. The last building of the "Kaiser Wilhelms-Akademie" still exists in the center of Berlin (Invalidenstra?e). With regards, Komtur.
    5. Well, you may be right. I like the idea with Dr. Schuon, the photographer?s signature and the coincidence of Ulm with Schouns regiment. Don?t know, if W?rttemberg officers were entitled to the 1897 medal. May be he was, because of his studies on a Prussian medical acadamy? Best regards, Komtur.
