I just received this beautiful set, the spange is a Juncker 2nd model. The chain was put together by Godet and the Schiesler Eagle is stamped Godet 935.

You are about right in comparison. In five years I have seen a lot of round 3s but only 1 straight nine. Jim

Uncategorised Help for EK1 1939 "rounded 3" and Schinkel type
Jim R replied to Graf's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
Graf. Post pictures before you buy this way you will find out if it is original. I have an L/10 screwback that was sold as original but the core had been changed out. I suspect it was because someone denatizied the crosss as the inner corners show damage. We live and learn everyday. Jim -
Uncategorised Help for EK1 1939 "rounded 3" and Schinkel type
Jim R replied to Graf's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
Graf, if you don't own these two pass on both, if you do send them back. The round 3 has an original Deumer core but put into a new frame. The Schinkle is a Latavian fake that closely resembles a Deschler. Jim -

The Schinkle is a Deumer. Can you post straight on pictures of the round 3 an bigger. Pictures taken at an angle and small does not give enough to determine if it is good or bad. Jim -

My EKI and EKII Schinkel collection. I know that I misspelled Meybauer on the EKI and am fixing that misstake. I had to seperate my collection into two cases as one was just getting too crowded. I believe I have all known types. Jim

EK 1939 DOUBT ABOUT TWO EK I CLASP
Jim R replied to PAUSANIAS's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
The second one is not an L/17 as the chest feathers are wrong, plus the stamp is generally located under the clasp. I then thought it was a P&L because of the pin and catch but it doesn't match either. It is doubtful that this is a real spange. I have every known EKI spange in my collection except for Juncker. Jim
