    1. Hi, I just got this picture of some officers of Flieger Abteilung 13 One has the Bavarian Pilot badge and one has the Observer Badge if I am right ? at least three of them has the EK 1 One the back the names are written but at some time this pic was glued into a album and right where the names are Is it possible to identfy any of the officers by the names on the back? Anyone has any info about FA 13 ? First pic is of the backside with the half destroyed names All the best from Sweden Christer
    2. The Order of Bulgaria 1st Class with the old State Crest but in one piece? The 2nd class is of two piece construction but shouldn?t the first class look the same or am I just still sleeping? Very nice very rare bar ! Why do we see so few bars from Bulgaria ? Did the officers use the small ribbon bars to their uniforms? All the best from Sunny Sweden Christer
    3. I looove the "hip-hop style" watch I have a lot of pictures with Swedish soldiers from around 1915-18 with BIG former breast watches now made into theese modern wristwatches with a type of leather holster. Very nice Pic ! Christer
    4. After a quick look on the net I found some more Order books nr, so her is a updated list small but maybe we can see some pattern in the numbers Type II 021283 28 April 1955 022639 28 April 1955 054593 10 June 1957 Type III 031064 18 Jan 1958 50803 29 Dec 1959 58801 29 Dec 1959 066892 29 Dec 1959 092548 21 May 1966 101569 27 June 1969 102248 23 May 1969 104468 15 Dec 1969 109585 21 jan 1966 110994 30 Nov 1968 164657 16 April 1971 Type IV 000868 7 Oct 1971 005638 26 April 1982 008797 27 June 1974 008861 20 Feb 1974 011515 6 Oct 1972 019087 7 Oct 1983 034709 19 May 1978 040570 23 May 1977 044034 27 April 1976 047205 28 Oct 1977 051719 27 April 1976 053792 24 Aug 1979 055633 28 may 1975 081018 15 June 1981 081187 27 March 1981 090233 8 Oct 1980 156108 30 June 1973 A-85 001537 12 Aug 1985 A-85 008226 31 March 1986 As you can see the earlier Order books follow quite well in time while the later ones is more mixed... Well,I keep on collecting order books number and we will see what it looks like after a while. Christer
    5. I see that Bolgarin have a Red banner with type III orderbook awarded 29 Dec 1959 58801 with fit perfectly in the numbers that I have 50803 , 66892 I wonder how many awards was given out 29 Dec 1959? Christer
    6. And the collection keeps on growing ! Thanks to a fellow collector who tip me of this card I now got another Torpedoed ship ! This is ATLANTIQUE built in 1900 for the line France-South America Was torpedoed on the 9th of May 1918 between Malta and Bizerte , but managed to get to Bizerte, the captain got a French order Knight Legion of Honour! And she survived the war and was at last scrapped in December 1933 in UK. Christer
    7. Very Nice Stogieman ! Why did Romania, BUlgaria, Hungary, Poland ? All got their orders in different beautiful boxes but their big brother USSSR gave them away in most cases , in nothing at all? I looooove boxes, may the box lovers of the world unite ! Christer!
    8. Great Idea ! Here you have some numbers to start with, maybe we can see a pattern if we get many enough? Type II 022639 28 April 1955 054593 1957 (cant see date) Type III 031064 18 Jan 1958 50803 29 Dec 1959 066892 29 Dec 1959 092548 21 May 1966 104468 15 Dec 1969 164657 16 April 1971 Type IV 000868 7 Oct 1971 005638 26 April 1982 055633 28 may 1975 034709 19 May 1978 081187 27 March 1981 You can clearly see some system in the numbers , a couple seem out of line but I suppose there always be a few that are left in storage by some reason and used "to late" Hope this helps, if you want I see if I got more books , I think I have a couple more All the best Christer
    9. And here is the inside, the numbers look better in real life, and they are definitive written with an ink pencil ( not ball-pen) But when its done is impossible to say, but it looks old when magnified. I think theese was awarded in Peacetime for helping secure the borders (whatever that means?) But they are really nice ! I wonder when they stopped giving them numbers?? And how many was awarded ????? Hmm a lot to find out Christer
    10. Wow , Now we soon have a real data base here !! Here is my sole document for an early Red banner To Lt Rodev Number 5876 and issued in 1955 , the numbers are written in blue ink, but i really looks old and similar to other written numbers I have. Why they did?nt write the number right away is a mystery? But Stogiemans book is also without number? Its always like this, a lot of new questions Christer
    11. That is Super ! Fantastic Items Bolgarin ! I have not any of the woman awards , they are so rare All the best from Sweden Christer
    12. And here is the Order to the Bulgarian James Bond on the post before. A Bronce class issued in 1971. I will take pics of my type III Orders and post them later, that is the type introduced in 1977 and with a compolete new apperence. Like Terminator I?ll be back Christer
    13. And Finally a man awarded with aBronce class Order in 1971. I have learned that of all classes and types (there is a 3rd type of this Order issued in 1977) there was 206 569 pieces awarded , still a quite small number when you compare to Soviet Orders. And this was the most awarded in numbers of all in PRB ! Christer
    14. Almost forgot , here is the Order itself ! Just one class left now. Christer
    15. And another young woman (well, Bulgaria was almost 1300 years by then so she is really young) Hmmm, well This is a Silver class of the 2nd type issued in 1971. Christer
    16. And here is the order, observe the new type of suspension and the lost of the small wreath. I think this type was introduced in 1950 but that is just a qualified guess... Christer
    17. And now its time for some woman ! Well I don?t know what you expected but here is Mrs Donka Pomova, with a great necklace... She was awarded a Gold class Order of the 2nd type in 1969. Christer
    18. And the last of the 1st issue , the Bronce class. I know that this class was introduced later but I do not know when? 1948-49 maybe ? Also here is an old wooden box for a bronce class order. Christer
    19. And now the second class introduced in 1945 the Silver class Here in a old wooden box Christer
    20. And here is the "ordinarie" box for the old Order of Labour ( I think ) Does anyone know when theese wooden boxes started and stopped been awarded) This is the Box for a Gold class OPL Christer
    21. The Order was awarded in 1957 , and here is the reverse with the text : Naroden Orden na Truda (Peoples Order of Labour) Christer Next classes will follow !
    22. And here is the inside with the man awarded in the order itself. This 1st type was introduced in June 1945 I have been told that not more than 50! Orders was awarded of this early type but I have no proof of that, but they are quite rare! I am not sure this document is really for this order since the 2nd type came in 1950, but maybe they still used old stock into mid 50?s ? It is hard to say what doc belonged to what order after 50 years, a lot can have happened on the way Very Nice order although ! Christer
    23. Here is the one of the oldest Orders in Peoples Republic of Bulgaria The Order of Peoples Labour or Order of Labour as it later was named. First out the box and dokument for the first issued Order Gold class, it is a cardboard box. I am not sure if this one is older than the Wooden boxes for this order but I bought the order in this box and it do look old. Christer
    24. Great Photos ! I must be a fantastic album with 1200 pics from the same soldier, super that it haven?t been split up during the years! Christer
    25. And the last one, a First class in cardboard box with the miniature A really nice item ! Christer
