    1. If I can ever "unscrew" my PayPal(it is locked because it thinks someone tried to access my account), I will pay a mere 400 for this unquestionably original tunic. Worst case scenario, the sum of it's parts is worth more than 400!! I will just have to find an equally worn eagle and a matching button for temporary application!
    2. Thanks Steve!! I am loving it already as well. I have another in the works too. I would love to find a pink nebenfarbed NCO tunic!!
    3. That is one beautiful set. Can we please see the back side?
    4. I think that this happens with defeated regimes. Most of Hitler's monuments were blown up, many Soviet ones(from what I understand) were destroyed with the fall of Communism, and a lot of Saddam's were pulled down as well. I guess that I would be under a different mind set if the monument was recognizing the sacrifices and losses of thier own troops. But this monument celebrates the death of Iranians on individual level. While I am not one to deface monuments, this monument really grim and I do not feel bad about it being defaced. I bet that the Iranians would love to blow this one up! This is just my non political opinion.
    5. Hi Vince, Neither image is coming in... can you please post them directly to the site? I can resize them for you if you would like, this evening. Paul
    6. Hi Vince, The image of the reverse is not coming in... Can you please repost?
    7. This is the first bullion example I have seen. It is a beautiful specimen!
    8. Thanks for setting me straight guys. I thought for sure that this shield was one of those made up types. I learned something new today!
    9. Thanks for the information! Hopefully, you will be able to get some more stories from him!
    10. I will take a look at the video when I get home from duty. I cannot get over that monument. The helmet concept is pretty grim.
    11. I have never seen a double barrel version before!!! Very nice piece. I love the wood work!
    12. Hi Peter, Welcome to the GMIC! Thank you for posting your shield. Unfortunately, as far as I know, this shield was not an official award and was not awarded during WW2. I believe this to be a fantasy piece that was made after the war. Regards Paul
    13. From what I can see in the screen shots, it looks to be a great book on the subject. The photos look great as well! Congratulations!
    14. Those are great! I wonder how many registered party members they had on their roles?!
    15. That is a great photo, Jon. You are right... Photos of SS men and vehicles seem to draw a huge sum on the auction sites. I hope that school is going well!
    16. That is really something!! When did he get his commission to officer status? What rank did he finish the war as?
    17. I think that it is either Imperial or Weimar era DRK. I will move it to the Imperial section. It is the first such board I have ever seen. I love it!
    18. That monument is a very sobering piece. Any clues as to the number of helmets inside? The helmets look like old surplus British and Soviet WW2 types. How did you get yourself into Saddam's hand?
