    1. Thanks for the compliment. I have about 3000 more pages to go through. I will be posting more interesting pages soon!! Fascinating stuff!
    2. That is a most excellent group!! I think that the Order of Glory Third Classes are very UNDER appreciated and are a steal compared to the deeds required to be the first owner. Research on Glorys never disappoint!
    3. Hopefully, he will be able to clear things up a bit!! I am definitely envious of this set. The Ushakov is one that I do not have. I should have bought one when it was ONLY 250 dollars... I tremble to guess what they go for now.
    4. Do you think that the Jubilee OPW could have been kept or lost from the grouping? I have never heard of anyone NOT getting one for a specific reason. This is the first time I have seen a Zhukov medal document, actually awarded to someone. What was the criteria for this transitional award? Was it really an official award? I also notice the Labor Victory medal. I wonder what he did for work with the wounds that he suffered? Ironically, he would have only had four medals at the wars end. The number of Jubilee medals is amazing! I also wonder why this man did not receive the 20, 30, and 40 years of the Red Army Jubilee medals, as he served in the Civil War?
    5. How do you do it, Ed!! WOW. A very complete and high order grouping there. Capt. was a low ranking to get the Order of Alexander Nevsky... I thought that this order was reserved for higher ranking officers. This is one man who truly saw it all!
    6. Another amazing group, Ed. Now when the medal was changed from the Nakhimov Medal to the Ushakov medal, was this considered to be an upgrade or downgrade? What orders/medals are missing? Paul
    7. I left the DVD at work. I will check out the previous issue on Monday. I will post any relevant scans. It does describe the previous tab as "having the double litzen, but not light green like the Schutzpolizei, but carmine". I wonder why they bothered to put that little blurb in there?
    8. This article was found in the 1937 uniformenmarkt(Uniform tailor's rulebook). Very interesting... The are essentially noting the swastika on the US Army uniform.
    9. I found this in the uniformenmarkt, 1937, and figured it would be an interesting item to post!
    10. I just wanted to share with you, this little treat I found today. It is from the 1937 uniformenmarkt. Lets see your Zoll items!!!
    11. I was thumbing through the 1943 Uniformenmarkt and found this interesting article. I guess that the police forces were planning on using SS style collar insignia. How long did this last? I have never seen such tabs before. Notice that they are listed as carmine in color. Maybe they are confused for SA? If anyone has such pieces, please lets see them! As a side note, it seems as if the TENO is also using the black SS style insignia as well!
    12. Hi Kev, Both of these women have the WB. The lower woman has the WB in silver. I had to cut the text for size reasons.
    13. I was going through my uniformenmarkt and noticed this interesting article which contains photos of women who have won German wartime decorations such as the Iron Cross, Wound Badges, and War Merit Crosses. Lets see any such items that may reside with your collections! This was printed in 1943
    14. Yes, I can see them now!! Nice one! Are you getting it researched?
    15. Not a problem. They are most easily found on Ebay of Germany. www.ebay.de You might have to execute a bit of patience, but one will show!
    16. There are a few references listed here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7707&st=0
    17. Hi Troy, You are correct. I think that they are in five year increments. The medals are for the DDR Period. Regards Paul
    18. Very interesting! What were they awarded for? Surely they were not all commemorative awards?
