    1. And finally, a thought provoking photo to mark the end of this display... for now! War is not about medals and parades. It has real consequences at every level. (used with permission)
    2. Another attractive award. What was the critera for the award?
    3. Kevin, Thanks for sharing your photo. Too funny! There have to be more out there. Lets see your "humorous" Luftwaffe photos.
    4. Now notice that the tabs have the early blue/silver piping for the Middle level of the Admin/Wartime offical table. Here are some of the inside markings. And another stamp.. the date is 1936. Thank you all for looking. Any comments and observations are always welcome.
    5. Here is my latest tunic... It arrived this morning. This rare beauty comes directly from the George Petersen collection... This one is the FIRST I have EVER seen. Here is a close up of the insignia... note the later eagle.
    6. Great stuff. My Father was in Viet Nam and I have his medals... He has the 60- clasp. I have never seen the 67 clasp before!!
    7. What were those orders awarded for? Were these valor awards, or they given for merit? Paul
    8. Very interesting photo. I have never seen police tunics like this. What orders does the one policeman have? Was he a foreigner?(Spanish?)
    9. Here is the Luftwaffe's pride and joy. He would make a great poster boy for a recruiting add!!! This is such a unique photo that I have to have it! You gotta love that hair job and the rings!!!
    10. Hi, Can you please do a closeup of the swastica? Also... you should really quit smoking! LOL
    11. The tab arrived today. It is absolutely beautiful. There is no damage noticeable from the obverse.
    12. Hi Larry, I do the see differences you mentioned, yet I can still see them as a "matched set". They were definately made by the same maker. These LW tabs were hand made... so I would think it would be very difficult if not impossible to make perfectly matching pieces.
    13. Those look as if they could be period tabs, IMHO Are they being sold as reproduction?
    14. That is one of the more comprehensive groups I have seen here. I very much enjoyed the photos. I find it note worthy that his and his wife's OPW 1985 have sequential Serial Numbers... And so do the books! They have different, yet sequential numbers as well. great set. What is the foriegn medal(cross)? PAul
    15. I never knew that they used a waffenfarbe in the Condor Legion. Thanks Prosper.
