The next set has: A set of Hauptman's Boards(if someone has two pips matching the ones on the other board, please let me know... I would like to restore this set to the way it used to be.) A single Heer Pioneer Officer Candidate. I need an original set of two pips for this one as well. (larger sized) A single Luftwaffe Flak EM board A single Luftwaffe Sonderfuhrer Board A single Heer Admin board with a grey secondary waffenfarbe.

Good Morning. I want to take a few moments and show off what I have in the way of shoulder boards. The reason for posting them here is that they are of various branches of the military/govt and Did not want to scatter them throughout the forum. The first scan is of medical related boards. The Majors are all Heer. For some reason, the Staff/serpent insignia are not were never placed on these boards. The Oblt are Luftwaffe, another Luft Board is Lt. The Lt board with the duller braid is heer.

Soviet Who put the russian flag on the Reichstag?
Paul R replied to Gerd Becker's topic in USSR: Soviet: Other Militaria
There seems to be some confusion on the matter... This information comes from the Wikipedia site. "just read the article on the Reichstag and noticed that you wrote the passage on the red flag saying it was staged and stuff. I checked with modern Russian sources and they say that the daytime attack on the Reichstag began on April 30, 1945. Indeed, a couple of them say that the attack was unsuccessful, however, most of them say that it did happen and soldiers V.Provotorov and G.Bulatov attached the flag to the pediment at 2:25 pm on April 30. Bulatov's awarding ceremony has been documented (order No.0121/н from June 8, 1945). The sources then say that soldiers M.A.Yegorov and M.V.Kantariya placed the flag on the cupola of the Reichstag at 9:50 pm on April 30 (looks like a few hours later). Some sources say that by early morning of May 1, the flag had already been there. I just wanted to know your opinion on all of this. KNewman 16:28, Dec 14, 2004" (UTC) -
Luftwaffe Luftwaffe Cloth Badges
Paul R replied to Laurence Strong's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Wow Laurence, You LW collection is moving right along!!! You have some great tabs! Keep 'em coming! Paul -
Thank you for sharing your DKs. Are they really as heavy as they look? I bet there were a lot lost in the field. Although the gold version is considered most desireable, I feel the silver grade is awesome! Paul

I do understand how busy and expensive family life can be. I do not have any grand childern yet. Hopefully I have a while before that happens I have been focusing on LW collar tabs as the uniforms have been getting more and more expensive lately! Even the collar tabs have been getting up there! I can hardly wait to see your new finds! PAul

Kriegsmarine U-Boot Uniforms
Paul R replied to Michel's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
It is nice to know that sailors are pretty much the same world wide. Since being a medic, I have treated many cases of "unmentionable disorders" ... I can understand! Well, I would be interested in ANY stories that you can post... Military or medical. Paul -
Thanks PK. I have returned your PM! Don, I really do not know what the Spanish patches represent. Maybe someone else here can shed some light on this? Thanks Paul
