    1. Viertaschenjacke is a basic term to describe the garment as a "four pocketed jacket". There were actually two types of these tunics: Tuchrock and the Waffenrock. The primary difference in the two is that the waffenrock was made with hooks so that the neck can be closed. The waffenrock was developed to replace both the Tuchrock and the fliegerbluse. While the garment was made in large numbers, it never completely replaced the tuchrock and fliegerbluse.
    2. From my vantage point, it is an original enlisted tuchrock with original Major's insignia added. I have still not made up my mind on whether it was done post war or not. I would like to see more photos of the tabs and the other shoulder board, where it is seated into the shoulder seam. I would also like to see a photo of the underside of the collar, to examine the placement of the collar cord. I have seen photos of officer's wearing the Tuchrock in the "field", so I can definitely seeing a frugal officer wanting to save his tailor made tunic for formal occasions and having a few enlisted types made up for everyday use. Thus far, the main thing I do not like is that the collar tabs do not seem like they have been on the tunic for a long time... but it could just be the angle I am seeing. What is the asking price?
    3. Eagles are not my specialty. Can someone chime in here. Sorry for the delay! :(
    4. The photo looks like he is wearing a Forestry tunic. Can you make a closer scan of the photo?
    5. I think that a Navigator uniform in any insignia configuration would be a one of a kind item!
    6. That is one really nice looking collection. I love the Kriegsmarine set up!!
    7. Bill, those boards are amazing! Where did you find them? I did not see the part about the Golden Yellow nebenfarbe being used for the Nautikers. I will have to find my books again!
    8. Thanks for the information, Naxos. I did not think that they still had a reserve officer corps by the time the LWFD were established.
    9. You are right!!! Those are some nice ones! Have you picked up any more tabs lately?
    10. Has anyone ever seen any Kriegsmarein Medical enlisted tunics or Colanis? I would love to see some untouched versions!
    11. You have such a detailed Feldgendarmerie collection. I am very excited to see your book. That strap must be one of the rarest items I have seen!
    12. Yes!! That is it! I love that photo! Notice the he somehow has affixed sewn in Beamte NCO straps as slide ons. Also, his litzen are on the wrong sides! I love that that he somehow earned the EK2 as well!
    13. How did the CD turn out? How were the shots? I am sorry I am only now replying. This is the first time I have come across this thread. Paul
    14. That center charactor does not look like an "F" It looks more like "64.." to me. That last character is anyone's guess.
    15. That is really a great shot. I wonder what color the piping is on the collar tabs as well as the nebenfarbe of the boards. Is there anything written on the back? There is another great shot vol 2 of the Heer series done by Angolia, of an NCO grade in a wrapper!
    16. That is a great bar! I have never seen those last two medals before. I bet that they are both very rare. Do you know the number of those lifesaving and rail road medals awarded?
    17. Bob, That is a beautiful tunic. How about some closeups? Snoopy, I have never seen one of those devices before! Any information on the brightness of the flare?
    18. Now that is interesting!!! I had no idea ! This must be the only example of a LW Official being placed in a post war movie!
    19. Those are some beautiful groupings. That Lassen set is spectacular
