    1. A wonderful collection! Would love to see close-ups of the uniform insignia, wings, patches etc...
    2. Period photos indicate there was a bit of turmoil as the DLV morphed into the Luftwaffe in 1935-36: LW members (officer & enlisted) wearing DLV belt buckles, DLV hats, etc. Who knows, Harrier's visor may have started life as a DLV cap (?)
    3. Superb visor Harrier - thanks for posting it!
    4. It's an Army sport shirt eagle - for the exercise kit. Quite common; 'collector value' perhaps US$20?
    5. Thank you Jacques. It matched an old, old photo of a silver L/21 in my files, but I wasn't sure if was still thought to be authentic or not. The owner was worried about the pin, which looks a bit like a Floch EK1. However, as you said, this cross retains the details of an original L/21.
    6. Facinating study Gordon - thank you. Personally, I find the Juncker Eagle the 'strongest' and most visually pleasing. (Your lizard looks like it can't wait to pounce on each one!)
    7. Catch...
    8. Reverse...
    9. Posting for a friend this Foerster & Barth Gold Spanish Cross w/Swords, marked L/21 on the pin. All comments regarding authenticity welcome. Thanks!
    10. Great cap - I really like the unit stamp under the sweatband.
    11. Nice looking crosses Tim.
    12. Looks like his DLV uniform (pre-Luftwaffe, 1933-35/36).
    13. Thank you Charlie - I'd not heard that term used in militaria collecting before.
    14. I don't frequent EBay, but I'll bet Rex Reddick gets his repro tabs from the same source ... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=36225
    15. I always get nervous when I see minty-fresh ribbons on a bar with medals showing moderate to heavy age/patina...
    16. The one offered on WAF is a volume 3 - but it's still not a bad price for that one.
    17. Here is a crown comparison I have in my files - I think it matches what Dolfek said.
    18. Very nice, Werner! Thank you for sharing your photos with us.
    19. Charlie, LW Officer visor caps usually have bullion eagles, while enlisted/NCO caps have metal eagles (officer visors usually have silver, not white piping). However, I have seen period photos of officer caps with metal eagles, although that's fairly unusual. NCO Officer Candidates were authorized to wear officer visor caps.
    20. Thank you gentlemen!
