    1. Material from Baden is nice to collect, and another rabbit hole easy to go down.
    2. I posted this item on a couple other sites, and thought there might be some interest here. This is one of two jackets which belonged to Leutnant Robert Strey of Jasta 2. It is a standard Kraftfahrt issue with upgraded Prussian officer's buttons and a beaver skin collar.
    3. I agree, these regimental medals are underappreciated and interesting to collect.
    4. Read the thread, I stated that at the beginning.....
    5. I think we've already had a thread about these, and what a complex subject they represent.
    6. That's a weird one, on the generic ribbon for Luitpold medals.
    7. Certainly looks like either a house order of Schaumburg or an honour cross of Detmold, going to be pretty difficult to guess without some written cross-referencing.
    8. Nice NCO's bar with the typical LS ribbon backing you see often on Bavarian bars.
    9. Often the closure tabs on the back of this type of bar can show evidence of having been opened and then bent shut again.
    10. Have a close look at the tabs on the back to look for evidence of tampering.
    11. Nice one, looks like the Altenburg bravery medal is a silvered zink example.
    12. Looks like a heavily worn award type, awarded for the war against Austria.
    13. Wow, you don't often see the CD mounted with an EK2!
    14. Those ribbons look awfully minty, or is it my imagination?
    15. Looks good to me, and yes, there are plenty of fakes around.
    16. Interesting, not common to find one in this size. Very good find.
    17. Hmm, those both do look good. I didn't see these on fleabay, what sort of prices did they realise?
    18. Very nice, I also collect Damenschleifen. What is the diameter of the medal?
    19. It looks like one of the countless fakes showing up on fleabay these days.
    20. It was not uncommon in the interwar period for veterans to have private, unofficial bars produced.
    21. I'm not keen on the construction of this bar, or the Gefechtsspangen.
    22. I agree, an image of the back and close-ups of the clasps on the colonial medal would help.
