    1. A Partisan 2nd class, now "extracted" from a "group thet wasn't a group" (but with which I am very happy anyway!). See: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16257&hl=2279019. I think I suspect the judgment, but . . . ???? Obverse:
    2. Has anyone had contact with Eugene ("Russian Glory") recently? Several (+) e-mails have gone unanswered. Thanks.
    3. People's Army of Vietnam. North Vietnam regular forces (as opposed to Viet Cong).
    4. Absolutely, Rick. Most of these image hosting sites are swamps of viruses and spy-ware anyway. This is expecially important as we are seeing the real thing here, and not later tourist knock-offs.
    5. And just in, finally in, something Mongolian, the elusive type 2 (Battushig A 6.4). There is, of course, the 14-ring variety, but that is only shown by Herfurt.
    6. Very (very!) interesting to see the way the "events" of 1956 are seen in today's Hungary. Reminds us all, I think, that history is a a fluid substance?
    7. Have you seen Peterson's book (in any edition)???
    8. Absolutely! If real (???) much history there. How faked into Italy??? Worth getting checked and researched. Could be quite a tale.
    9. Make them work, Charles, make them work. (I have no clue . . . )
    10. But four bows. How odd. LG is, of course, far from perfect for foreign awards.
    11. As amazed as I am that someone would concoct this unholy mule, as amazed as I am that they would then have the gall to try to sell it (even on eBay), I am even more amazed that some fool woupod spend good money on it (at the last I saw, it stood at ?46). Why would someone spend this money on something like this and not think to spend even a few pounds on a refernce book?! Paging Mr., Barnum, paging Mr. Barnum, . . . .
    12. And someone is really willing to pay good money for this THING?!?! Makes you lose faith in the species.
    13. Unknown, Paul. While I have seen reference to this medal, this is the first time I have seen one. I suspect it was a general "good girl", distinguished service to the federation, kind of award. It would take finding the actual regulations, which I am sure once existed.
    14. A woman (the bow mounting for the St. John and the Moroccan Wissam Alaouit Cherifien) involved in some medical stuff (St. John). A nurse who served in Morocco in WWII? Should be able to trace her. Later a CBE or DBE. A "somebody". What are the two badges upper center?

Nice. Abebooks shows two copies, at widely variable prices.
    16. No, Sergei, I think it is clear. It is just that I don't have enough Russian to fully follow what you are saying. I have enough trouble with English, Hindi, Urdu, scraps of Arabic and Pashto, and remnant German, plus trying to learn Mongolian (and not succeeding very well). As every year goes by and every beer goes down, there seems to be less space for languages. And do go enjoy the sun!
    17. Thanks, Kevin! I was about to do the same thing and you beat me to it.
