    1. Who knows, since Turkmenbashi died last week, the country might open-up for visitors and be more friendly to visitors. Do you remember how much you had to pay for your visa in Turkmenistan?
    2. It might just be my opinion Christian, but for me Igor's prices do not reflect the real maket value. I have never bought from him because he sells higher than many other dealers I know. I refuse to pay his asking prices even if he has good stuff. Just look the price of his yugoslavian awards. He does have good stuff, but to my opinion they mostly have inflated prices. So I'd say for me that the market price is less than what you pretend.
    3. Wow very nice Bob! Thanks for sharing some pictures with us. I can't wait to travel again. Is there a lot of people speaking Russian in the Caucasus and in Central Asia? I think my limited Russian knowledge will be more usefull than my French, English and German languages out there. I have to say that I will not travel very luxious as I'm still on a shoestring budget.
    4. Thanks Eric! I guess I just have to choose the great display size for me. I want to mount my Soviet documented groups in a display similar to yours.
    5. Hi Bob, I plan to go this summer to Caucasus (visit the 3 countries) or Central Asia (Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) for holidays. I haven't made my choice yet and I'll see what I do depending of when I will finish my studies. I'm going to graduate this year and I want to make a trip before I start looking for a job. I'm very interested in visiting some of the former Soviet Union republics.
    6. Eric, is your display from Indian River? If yes, can we hang those show case to a wall? How did you pin your medals into your display? What's the backing? I won't to buy some of these, but I can't figure out how do they work and how they are made. I'm also wondering how can I display a documented group with order book in such case. Thanks for your help!
    7. Rick, the ribbon bar #48 are ribbons applied separately. They are very tight put together that it seems they were painted all together. I was also wondering what does a Glory labor would do on a bar with a Caucasus campaign medal. My favorite is also the one posted in #47, it is very nice and slightly curved on the inside. I wopuld assume that the newest ribbons are the cloth ribbons on cloth and the plastic painted ribbons. Rick could you told me if the one in post #47 is an old pattern ribbon bar? Which pattern is older #46 or #47? Thanks in advance!
    8. Plastic bar with cloth ribbon. I find personaly this one very ugly. The only interesting thing are the 2 Red banners.
    9. A few other ribbon bars to had to this thread. #1 Cloth ribbon bar
    10. usairforce, can we buy those box on Internet or they are only availible in China?
    11. Don't worry Ed. It didn't sold yet. US $3,570.00 Reserve not met
    12. Look what the seller answered to somebody. It must be a scam, it looks like the ribbons were painted red on photoshop. The Karl Marx order is first in on the group and then second on black and white picture? All ribbons have been changed.
    13. Lentiay, I think you can sell here : http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showforum=110 But I think you need to post more messages before being able to sell. I am not sure.
    14. Andrew and KILKA, your help to this forum is really appreciated. It is very interesting to learn from knowledgeable collectors!
    15. Here is a new "salty" little undocumented group in my collection. Hope you like it.
    16. Dear Christian, please reconsider your proposition to leave this forum. Your contributions have been so far very interesting and I would not like to see you leave like this. I understand your concerns toward this subject and I feel that such topics shouldn't be close, because it will always be important to show both side of one conflict. I do not see the point why such a discussion should be close. If this topic has to be close, I guess that other topics like members showing proudly their war trophy from Iraq should be closed as well. I guess that Doc and Christian failed to be neutral on this topic, because both were involved in this war, but I guess that Mr. Chairman goes too far by saying that ?the motivation for the topic was and in all probability the sole purpose was to cause offence I just hope that everything will settle down and that we can discuss calmly this very unusual military collectibles!
    17. I am no specialist in order books, but to me the last 3 entries of the 3 Orders of the Red Banners look ver suspicious. They all have the same writings even if you said the 3rd RB should have been awarded in the 50's. I do think that this order book was doctored. Shouldn't they have roman letters for "II" and "III" red Banner?
    18. Thanks! I didn't know the mass Ukaz for long service where also written there!
    19. Hello Rick, could you give me the number range of the November 3rd 1944 Red banners mass Ukaz for long service? I would also like to know the number range for the Red Stars mass Ukaz for long service in 1956. Thanks in advance.
    20. #1 What is this monument? #2 What does it commemorate? #3 Where is it located? Good luck, I think it is not an easy one.
