    1. WOW!! That such a thing exists and we didn't know! I checked it: The K?niglich-preu?ische Ordensliste was published from 1862-1905. It had a predecessor, the "Ordens-Liste der Ritter und Inhaber k?niglich-preu?ischer Orden und Ehrenzeichen", which was published from 1825-55.
    2. Too many to post them all. He's got 36 (!) bars currently on ebay. Bavarian style, too:
    3. Very ambitious this one, two rows here. Look at the devices (probably only electronic denaz):
    4. never seen this last ribbon before, supposedly: "Bulgarische WKEM für Hinterbliebene"
    5. Three Romanian awards on this one. Seller states exactly: - Rumänien, Königin-Maria-Orden (ab 1938) - Rumänien, Sanitätsverdienstkreuz (ab 1938) - Rumänien, Treuedienstkreuz mit Schwertern (ab 1938)
    6. Just trying to keep track of this ongoing flood from the same seller:
    7. It will be really difficult to ID this combination, except if ... is there a readable number on the shoulderboard?
    8. Second one is for Sergeant Gustav Durchholz, 3. Komp., and Gefreiter Otto Chemnitz, 3. Komp., both KIA in DSWA. Notice both sides of the DSWA medal on the bottom left. Have we got anything in the China or DSWA documentation about them?
    9. While memorials for 1870/71 and WW1/WW2 are very common in Germany, there are not that many for China or DSWA. During a recent trip to Münster, I took these pics of memorials for fallen soldiers of the Westfäl. Train-Bat. 7. First one is for Trainsoldat Karl Adami, 2. Komp. Notice the stone China medal.
    10. It is very well possible that his PrRKM2 was a post-1919 award. These were handed out at least until the early 1920s. The clasps for the Colonial medal, as I understand, were private purchases, so not everyone bought them.
    11. Don't waste your money on that paysite. Here's what the German Generals' bios series has about him: Generalmajor Heinrich-Hermann von Hülsen Born: 08 Jul 1895 in Weimar Died: 06 Jun 1982 in Celle Promotions: Leutnant (13 Aug 1914); Oberleutnant (01 Mar 1924); Rittmeister (01 Feb 1929); Major (01 Jun 1935); Oberstleutnant (01 Jan 1938); Oberst (01 Dec 1940); Generalmajor (01 May 1943) Career: Entered Army Service (13 Aug 1914) Passed Out the Cadet-Corps as Leutnant in the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (13 Aug 1914-02 Jan 1915) Temporary Leader of 6th Company of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (02 Jan 1915-01 Nov 1915) Ordinance-Officer with the Staff of the 43rd Infantry-Brigade (01 Nov 1915-14 Jan 1916) Transferred to the Regiment-Staff of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (14 Jan 1916-07 Feb 1916) Temporary Adjutant & Court-Officer of the Fusilier-Battalion of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (07 Feb 1916-21 May 1916) Adjutant & Court-Officer of the Fusilier-Battalion of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (21 May 1916-09 Jun 1918) At the same time, Temporary Regiment-Adjutant of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (16 Apr 1918-27 Apr 1918) At the same time, Temporary Leader of the Fusilier-Battalion of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (27 May 1918-31 May 1918) Ordinance-Officer with the High Command of Army-Group Deutscher Kronprinz (09 Jun 1918-17 Oct 1918) Regiments-Adjutant of the 4th Foot Guards-Regiment (17 Oct 1918-27 Dec 1918) Regiments-Adjutant of Regiment Reinhard (27 Dec 1918-06 Jun 1919) Regiments-Adjutant of the 29th Reichswehr-Infantry-Regiment (06 Jun 1919-01 Jan 1921) Platoon-Leader in the 8th (MG) Company of the 9th Infantry-Regiment (01 Jan 1921-10 Aug 1921) Detached to the 9th Mounted-Regiment (10 Aug 1921-01 Oct 1921) Transferred into the 9th Mounted-Regiment (01 Oct 1921-01 Oct 1925) Transferred into the Training-Battalion of the 7th Infantry-Regiment (01 Oct 1925-01 Oct 1928) Chief of 1st Squadron of the 7th Mounted-Regiment (01 Oct 1928-01 Oct 1933) Adjutant of Military-Region-Command Stettin (01 Oct 1933-01 Oct 1934) Adjutant of Artillery-Leader II (01 Oct 1934-15 Oct 1935) Adjutant of the 2nd Division (15 Oct 1935-06 Oct 1936) Commander of II. 12. Spectacular bar! I have a Hermann Florsch?tz who got a Dr. med. from the University of Gie?en in 1895. Not him, obviously, but there is a medical connection. Also, there are three more Dr. Florsch?tz listed in the DOA 1908, all from Coburg or Gotha. One of them, Carl, was even Herzoglicher Leibarzt - so I guess there is a connection between Hermann and our old friend SA-Ogruf (and HRH) Carl Eduard.
    13. We have several D?rrs here: - The one mentioned by Paul is Konrad D?rr, Major 20.9.09, who was Hptm in MschGwAbt 8 in 1908, went into 3. GzF and was "Maschinengewehr-Offizier vom Platz" in Metz in 1914. - no first name D?rr, Major 27.1.09, was Hptm in F?sR 40 in 1908, Major in IR 92 in 1914. - Ludwig D?rr, Major 4.8.09, was Hptm in GR 6 in 1908, Major zD in Ldwbez Frankfurt/M. in 1914. - This one is Eugen Duerr, Major 21.2.11L, Hptm in IR 74 in 1908, Adjutant at the Reichsmilit?rgericht in 1913 (with the uniform of IR 74), and in IR 27 in 1914. He died (probably of wounds) on 10.9.1918 in Bad Oeynhausen.
    14. I guess the wearer was a Catholic officer (or equivalent...) who was in Jerusalem during WW1. I wonder if #2 is maybe not a Liakat, but the Medjdie order 4th or 5th class. That would make this one a junior officer... or a chaplain??? According to Geile's register, there were only two (!!) wearers of the "Ehrenkreuz f?r Jerusalem-Pilger" in the DOA 1908/09: Dr. jur. Georg Antoni, mayor of Fulda and Papal "Geheimk?mmerer", and Josef Maria Friesenegger, reverend in Augsburg and also Geheimk?mmerer. (Both had other awards, so it's neither of these). The more I look at it, the more I'm convinced that this was some kind of Catholic Feldgeistlicher stationed in the Ottoman Empire.
