    1. Hi Chris, Youve got me drooling into buckets now for sure => Pavlov's dog was even small beer in accordance towards this. Simply stunning piece , and the official awarded specimen also !!! Can you post the Silver C document please?, i am working on a article on these and have a theory + you can help me to proove my theory. Cordial greetings,
    2. Hello, And yes my friends, we can add the following : * Wunsch Fridolin was a "Ehrenpokal" holder - attributed 30.04.1943 as a oberfeldwebel Cordial greetings
    3. Hello, Thanks Walle => at last the missing links has found there way up here , now lets start in posting variations on the different shield documents. I have a rather boring collecting as i only do posses Cholmshield ones (and they do all look the same after all ) Common guys => show them Cordial greetings,
    4. Hello, Very interesting pieces and a great deal of (unknown) history presented in this thread. Hendrik has given a lection past saturday about this subject and i was impressed with what is possible on this medal (such a vaiety on bars, simply stunning ) Keep it up guys and bomb us with such bars (and medals) iff you have them. Cordial greetings,
    5. Hi, Very nice Asmann badge => just love it !!!, confratulations Cordial greetings,
    6. Hello, Thank you for showing the sister (or is it brother) from my packet => now my piece does now that he is not alone any more I have however a question as this thread did raise a question for me. Are the Zimmermann company of Stuttgart (LDO nr. 6) the same as the Zimmermann company of Pforzheim (LDO nr. 20) ? Are they related etc ... etc ... Cordial greetings,
    7. Hello, And finally the maker mark on the packet => feel free to post your Fritz Zimmermann / Stuttgart exmaple over here Cordial greetings + thanks for looking,
    8. Hello, Here we have its original protective paper package Cordial greetings,
    9. Hello, Here is iron cross 2 nd. class that was awarded but never worn as such. It still coms in its original paper packet wich is maker marked " Ordensfabrik Fritz Zimmermann - Stuttgart " . The cross on its own is not maker marked, the core is still in excellent shape. The silver frame is patinated over time. The ribbon is still full lenght and has the orange colour more then red. Cordial greetings, enjoy + post your brothers or sisters please as this baby is feeling lonely lately
    10. Hi Ed, Very interesting thread on a (for me) widely unknown area, jsut love it Cordial greetings,
    11. Hi Marcus, Thanks for the ehads up, sometimes taking a break is not so bad after all => it makes you see things more in perspective and what they really are + besides it is only a hobby To ID these Military crosses is really difficult (at least for me as i do collect the literature of such subjects but not the medals on its own ). At this point of time there are no less then 15 so called types identifyed on the crosses fro 1919 and 1934 and it is rather normal that other types can ID again. Belgium is after all a country where everything is possible Are there markings to be found anywhere on the medal, suspension ring or else ? Cordial greetings,
    12. Hi Marcus, Nice to see some of your Belgian baby's. About the Military medals as you call them i can already tell you the following : 1) the one with the lion on the reverse is the post 1952 type. 2) the one with the "A" monogram is to date between 1919 and 1934 Can you give us close ups on the centers (both front and reverse?), this can help in identifying them further. Otehrwise i can only encourage you to obtain the following publication found on the following link (dealing in great detail with this award) : http://www.skf-vzw.org/nederlands/index2.html Go towards the publicaties/publication tab Cordial greetings,
    13. Hi hendrik, Nice to see you over here => hopefully we can get a tommorow + looking forward towards the theme that you will present !!! Cordial greetings,
    14. Hello Joe, Thank you for the reply, i also tought of the "SW" but then the "S" is almost completely gone. As far as i see it now this could be : 1) SW, but the S was so badly struck that it does not appear 2) W 3) M Wich one is most likly?, it is always fun to think about these things and its part of the collecting fun (even iff the piece does not bring on any new things and keeps his secrets for a wile ) Any more opinions on the maker mark? Thanks in advance
    15. Hi Rick, Indeed => it is a very evil and nasty virus for sure Any idea on who made this one ? Cordial greetings
    16. Hi Dave, Thank you for the information , any idea on who the clasp could have produced?, it is a unmarked piece but mayby it bears the characteristics of a known maker? Cordial greetings
    17. Hello jacques, Thanks for sharing this magnificent piece. This is indeed (as far as i am concerned) the Walhalla for the advanced Heer collector. A very rare and hard earned award. Just wonderfull => wisch i had on of those Cordial greetings,
    18. Hello, And finally the makers mark thats on the ring of the EK 2 Cordial greetings and thanks in advance for the opinions
    19. Hello, Here is a close up from the small birdie thats sitting on the ribbon Cordial greetings,
    20. Hello, Here is one that is already for over 10 years in my possesion, i never much cared to look at maker marks on rings of my EK's. The clasp EK 2 is a unmarked Buntmetal piece. The EK has however a marking on the ring, the core of the EK is very flat and i assume it is a WWII produced piece. (However im not certain of this) , the maker mark looks like what appears to be either 50 or 60. (or am i totally wrong on this one and does the mark represent a WW1 one?) Any opinions? Cordial greetings and thanks for looking
    21. Hello, And here is the maker mark => is this a W or ???? Cordial greetings and thanks for looking,
    22. Hello, Here is the cross wich started my (what it looks like => lifetime ?) addiction towards German awards. Due to some excellent threads i tought after over 19 years being locked away (yes that is the number of collecting years) it is time that this one sees some light again Any idea on the maker mark on the ring? Cordial greetings and thanks in advance,
    23. Hello, Where are the "Krim" and "Kuban" documents in this thread?, i know for sure that the threadstarter must have some of these => please share them with us Cordial greetings,
    24. Hi CHris, Very nice to see that bar again, thanks for sharing! Iff i do remember correctly the former wearer was in the milling bussines? etc ... or am is still half sleepdrunk and completely wrong Cordial greetings,
