    1. Four Gefreiter of Niedersächsisches Feld-Artillerie-Regt. Nr.46 (Wolffenbüttel/Celle). The number on the shoulder strap and date on the preis are difficult to read... But 2. Battarie won the preis in 1913; the card is dated March 1914 from Wolffenbüttel.
    2. Thanks, claudio; great info! Unfortunately, my maker mark is too worn to read. Even without the virdirgis.
    3. Condition is not so good with broken enamel and "bomb" isn't centered; but here's an artillery collar badge. (My son got this for some pocket change at a flea market in Barcelona a few years ago; got to give him credit for thinking of Dad!)
    4. 22. Bazy Lotnictwa Taktycznego Malbork Home to MiG 29 squadron
    5. Iron Cross 2. Cl 1914, Prussia Service Medal, Legion of Honor Medal Thoughts?
    6. What do the experts say about this insignificant little bar?
    7. I think this one qualifies... War Merit Cross 1939, West Wall, Romania Anti-Communist Crusade TR is definitely not my area; so, this could be bogus for all I know...
    8. A less than perfect example...significant damage to enamels. Makers mark "Deutsches Feld-Ehrenzeichen. Hamburg 11. Ges. Gesch"
    9. Okay, I know it's not perfect (enamel issues) and is missing the suspension ring... Any other thoughts?
    10. And here's the medal... Italian 45. Division took part in the sixth battle of the Isonzo, 4-17 August 1916. According to one of my books, the VI Corps attacked with sixteen divisions after a two-day artillery bombardment; they captured Mt. Sabotino in 45 minutes. I've climbed Mt. Sabotino, so this was a nice pick-up for me...(which I had already forgotten about).
    11. Just found this one in a box... a S J (Stefano Johnson, Milano) version.
    12. Okay, I've finished posting many of my already cataloged medals and am now starting to open up boxes long forgotten about... And I found this one. I bought it a few months ago in a lot with a couple WWI Italian medals, one of which is for the Italian 45. Division - the reason I bought the lot in the first place. When they came in the mail, I just tossed them all into a box to be cataloged later. I didn't even pay much attention to this Bulgarian Commemorative Medal 1915-1918 War. The medal is about 3mm thick and full size, so probably a German produced version; but the ribbon looks like its for a mini medal and obviously not original. Curious.
    13. Kind of interesting... Here's a history of PTs that features PT9, billed as the US Navy's first PT Boat.
    14. Thanks, Rob! I figured that was it's use...
    15. Arrowhead on the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and a French Croix de Guerre with Palm suggests D-Day to me...
    16. Let's bring back the Léopold II thread... A post-1951 Gold Medal of the Order of Léopold II
