Hi Bob, nice badge, but you posted imperial japanese army flag upside-down Cheers, Nick
    3. Hi Joseph, to tell you the truth (by these photos) this piece doesn't look like silver one As for the price ... I'd say around 50 bucks. IMHO of course Cheers, Nick
    4. This is not a medal. This is jetton. Obverse "In memory of stay of their Imperial Majesties in Moscow" Reverse "In memory of the monument opening to Emperor Alexander III on May 30, 1912" These were made in yellow metal. Cheers, Nick
    5. Pessimist! Why not? Especially since according to statute it was awarded to every human being that was invited to the wedding celebration
    6. What we have here is 2 out of 1301 situation!
    7. Exellent medal! As I understand this is the upper line of reverse inscription. But what is the translation of other four lines ... I wonder P.S. The case stamped with address of Suzuki workshop in Tokyo
    8. Love this patina! Congrats man! Next stop -
    9. Glad you liked it my friend! Forget to mention that workshop passe-partout inscribed "D.I. Bystrov ... Petrograd"
    10. 2nd class "with diamonds" and I bet it is russian work
    11. Ribbon/badge combination - that's what I was talking about P.S. Unfortunately these badges still can be used by some to deceive beginners. Once I saw how small one was sold as "original WWII mini" ;)
    12. Nice addition! More info about these babies here http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/55554-red-cross-relief-commemorative-medal-1904-05-and-its-suspensions/?view=findpost&p=515288&hl=%2Bred+%2Bcross+%2Brusso-japanese
    13. They are faking even these?! The mark indeed looks pretty faint. Same goes for the details of central medallion ...
    14. It's original Jean-Sam. For additional variations of this cross see this thread http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/56555-deutsches-feld-ehrenzeichen/?hl=feld-ehrenkreuz Cheers, Nick
    15. Aha! So it was a different Freikorps. http://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/weimarer-republik/diebitsch-kreuz-2-klasse.html Thanks Robin!
    16. "Official" name of this piece of c*** is "Памятный знак "За нашу Советскую Родину"" Issued to commemorate the 90th anniversary of creation of the Red Army. There are at least two variations: with and without inscription "90th anniversary of creation of the Red Army" on reverse. Official price - 50 bucks
    17. Yep, could be the ministry of agriculture and state property ... but I am not sure :)
    18. I don't think that Army would be very happy about this 2nd design I bet Navy flag was more than enough for them!
    19. Could be related to German Knights Cross (Deutschritter Kreuz) - Freikorps award that was established by Alfred von Randow on April 12, 1919. More about this award here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutschritter-Kreuz About Alfred von Randow here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_von_Randow Another possible scenario - phantasy piece designed after Deutschritter Kreuz ... Cheers, Nick
