    1. Hello! I don´think so. Promotions: Leutnant 11.2.86 Oberleutnant 14.9.93 Hauptmann 27.1.00 Major 27.1.10 Oberstleutnant 27.1.15 He is not listed in the seniority list from january 1918. So he left the army before that date. Because the ranklist of honour did list him as "a.D." (off duty), I don´t think, he served in 1919
    2. Hello! Now it´s clear. I didn´t now the other kind of the abbreviation. So he had VR1KD and EKII. Probably beside those both he had commemorative medal 70/71 and saxon commemorative cross 1866. https://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/deutsche-staaten/erinnerungskreuz-1866.html The ranklists don´t mention other medals for him. On Christophes photo he wears the old saxon "Reiter" Uniform. So he wears the uniform of 2nd Reiter-Regiment, which became Hus.Rgt.19 in December 17, 1875. Note the name changed in Dec. 1875, but the uniform changed in april 1876! The regimental history mentions: 2nd Lt. in 1st Esk./2.Reiter-Regiment in July 27, 1870 and December 1, 1871. Rittmeister in the same unit December 31, 1877, and in 2nd. Esk December 1, 1881 and April 1, 1882. Medals: Sächs. Verdienstorden, Ritterkreuz with swords in 1871 and EKII in 180/71 He promoted to Sec.Lt. July 19, 1865 Pr.Lt. January 1., 1872 Rittmeister July 23, 1875 On Christophes photo I see (probably) one star (Pr.Lt.) upon the shoulder board, so the photo must have been taken between January 1872 and July 1875.

    4. Hello! Far right I see an oval patch with 4? That fits to Bavaria. RW-Brigade 21 München with RW-Schtz.Rgt.41 and 42 RW-Brigade 23 Würzburg with RW-Inf.Rgt. 45 and 46 RW-Brigade 24 Nürnberg with RW-Inf.Rgt. 47 and 48 I´d say it´s a 46 or 48
    5. Hello! Thun is alright. In that time some words with t were written with th. (Grammar rules before 1900) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Rechtschreibung_im_späten_19._Jahrhundert
    6. That´s why I don´t use the word "Kappenabzeichen (cap badge)". I prefer "Verbandsabzeichen (formation badge)"

    13. Hello! Is someone able to ID this uniform? I haven´t seen such an uniform before. The armband seems to show a double-headed-eagle. So maybe Austria or Russia? The reverse is absolutly blank Thanks a lot! Now it´s shown twice... I think I clicked the wrong button...
