I found one person, who could match to this medalbar (Sergeant IR 55 / 10th comp.). My lists confirm all awards on that medalbar, but he got later (in 1905) two additional awards from Lippe-Detmold, which are not at the medalbar. Either this is his medalbar before 1905 or I have to search for another person. Please give me some additional time to re-check everything. Best regards Roman

Who is calling me???? Of course, Lammers got the Lippe-Detmold house-order 2nd class AFTER 1918...and Mr. Nimmergut had a wrong information. Lippe-Detmold spent its award (especially the house-order) until 1933, mostly awarded by familiy members of the prince or early supporters of the nationalsocialsts! The actual prince of Lippe-Detmold has in his private archive an extra awardlist for those late awards. Attached I´m showing you such a late award (to a member of the prince´s family). :shame: A nice Lippe-medalbar, which is NOT in my collection???? Indeed a ver nice medalbar...congratulations! BUT.... At the last position is a wrong medal mounted. In my opinion the ribbon belongs to a 1897-medal of Lippe Detmold "Erinnungsmedaille an den Einzug des Grafregenten Ernst". According to the other awards on the medalbar this 1897-medal is the most possible one, too. Best regards Roman

It is not easy, really! I?m wondering, that there is no long-service medal on that ribbon bar. The former owner was from Lippe-Detmold and was an active fighter during the WW1. (Otherwise at least the LC-ribbon should have been the white NC-ribbon). According to these facts, it must be the House-Order 4th class with swords Div. A. And he was surely a younger guy. There are several entries in the rolls, for which it isn?t clear, if these persons really got the award with swords. Best regards Solomon

The ribbon with swords on it belongs to the Lippe-Detmold house-order, there is no doubt. And, as mentioned, it is placed wrong behind the merit cross. Following the statues of the house-order, it had to be placed before all other Lippe-awards. A identification isn?t easy, because all other awards are standard... Best regards Solomon

Oh noooooo! I?m sorry, but I have to inform you, that exactly this type of the heroic-deeds-cross is a well known fake. You can find these faked crosses often on Ebay, especially one German dealer sells them once a month on Ebay. Sorry for the bad news...but it is definitely not a repaired old one. Best regards Roman

Hehe, nice thoughts, but there is a small problem: The Lippe-cross with stick-pin and without inscription (often called the 1st class of the war merit cross) was never spent nor awarded. Last month I had a old prototype of this cross in my hands for an article on my website, it was similar to the cross, which is shown in the museum in Detmold. But anyway, it was never spent! :speechless1: Aaaaah, and I?m searching exactely this nice 1866-medal from Lippe-Detmold. Although quite many medals were spent, I nevr saw one one mounted a medalbar and I have no idea why??? Okay, to make you also a bit jealous, I will show you a picture, I got a few weeks ago. Please look carefully at the first medal on the medalbar @Rick I already erased the impossible names and combinations from the list, but there still too many (okay, I?m quite sure, that he wasn?t a "Landwirt"). Additionally there is the problem, that this guy may got his red-cross-medal after the Lippe-cross and in this case the receipt shows none other award, which makes this medalbar IDable But I will keep it in mind. Best regards Roman

Hello gents (and friends of nice enameled roses), to reactivate this theme, I would like to introduce to you my latest purchase. Of course, it looks quite unspectacular, but the "Kriegervereinskreuz Lippe-Detmold" is quite a rare bird. Unfortunately this bar is unnamed. The bar looks like an official (teacher...) or a doctor (indeed, I found one Dr.med. in the list). Best regards Roman
