    1. Are the Godet ribbon bars the ones that are straight and not curved? My thanks Matt
    2. Paul, I too would like to add my congratulations on your new purchase! Well done! I see that he never had the NSDAP Long Service Devices on his NSDAP ribbons on the ribbon bar! Kind regards Matt
    3. Thank you for this concise explanation Claudius. As for my other comment about not giving my opinion:- what i mean is i do not know much about medal bars yet to give an opinion. But i must say from reading different threads here on this forum my knowledge increases each day! So i will have a go at giving my opinion now... Regarding this bar, i think the ribbons look very clean but Dond's comment on a frack bar getting very little wear is something to consider here. I agree with Claudius about the black-light. This will reveal the answer as to originallity. Do not worry chaps, if there was something i knew or felt valid not already mentioned i would of course throw it into the ring as part of the discussion! Kind regards Matt
    4. Gents, This thread is becoming an interesting read with some contrasting opinions. I am still learning about medal bars so will not give my opinion on this particular piece, but would like to know; these "tuxedo bars" were read from right to left? So the Saxon Order is the "first" on this bar? My thanks Matt
    5. Gents, and Rick! Have been thinking, reading and searching... could the 6th ribbbon be the Hessian War Honour Decoration? Still seems strange to me that the Flander's Veteran's Cross was placed after a Turkish Decoration! Looking forward to hearing some opinions on this! Kind regards Matt
    6. Again Hamburg Hanseatic Cross...really got to start searching harder for Bremen and Lubeck! Matt
    7. Gents, Thought i would post this up for discussion, was on eBay recently, think it was re-listed. A very interesting combination of the Prussian War Aid Cross and the Jerusalem Cross! Would this be classed as a non-combatant medal bar? Would appreciate any information that can be provided regarding this decoration being bestowed upon a German. Any members got this medal on a medal bar? Best regards to all. Matt
    8. I always like to look and see how the medal mounter mounts those Baden medals with the long suspension rings! Yours has been very well done! Very nice bar! Matt
    9. Would just like to say that this has been a very informative thread ....especialy for someone who is actively looking for an SS ribbon bar. Here is a link to another fake SS ribbon bar curently on eBay (has ben for awhile). An original is posted also, courtesy of Stogieman! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=40752 Kind regards Matt
    10. Thanks Micha. Did a search there and found this:- Website: www.ordensammler.com E-mail: raritaetensammlerclub@web.de This the same chap? Best wishes Matt
    11. For a relatively new member here, willing to learn more....please elaborate! Is this one of the guys who sells fakes? Or originals that never reach their destinations? Or the guy that sells pictures of medal orders, but does not state this in his listing? Thanks Matt
    12. Rick: Hoping to purchase a new black-light device this weekend so will post a reply then. Scott: Yes, this was my concern. Here is a better close-up (i hope) of the Prague Bar. Kind regards Matt
    13. Gents, Opinions on these two please? They look very clean to me, almost as if they were cut from the same ribbon roll....also the 4-place with KVK without swords is a bit strange. And the Prague Bar looks a bit funny too.... My thanks Matt
