    1. Hallo Gordon thanks for your response, the value I was trying to ascertain so as not to pay to much for the other types if I run across them, I found this one in a shoe box full of pins ranging from Football club insignia to miners pins and Tamron pins. Well worth getting the fingers bloodied sorting through it. I recently saw one of these but did not attempt to buy it as I was not sure what it was at the time: As is often the case "wiser after the fact" probably it will turn up again. Kevin in Deva.
    2. Hallo Ed, and Ricky, thanks for that suggestion, I will see what I can find out by droping them a line. Kevin in Deva.
    3. Hallo Gents, just a quick question, do you know where its possible to locate a full size neck ribbon for the WW1 MOH, its for a legitimate cause, as a replacement for a museum piece here in Romania. Or who to approach to source one officialy. Kevin in Deva.
    4. Hi Gents, Ricky would not have known, when he posted, that it is actualy one of the items I obtained at yesterdays show as I had not added the info at that time. Do they rate any value? Details:- Silver Version of KISZ badge. Width: Approx' 24mm left to right white pages. Height: Approx' 20mm Top of head to bottom of flag. Kevin in Deva.
    5. There is also a diffence with regards the swastikas on the tail fins. Kevin in Deva.
    6. Hallo Noor, I hate to be a wet blanket but I still doubt this piece is a good one. The quality of the engraving is very poor, particularly with s.s. runes, it looks like they were marked on with felt tip pen, and lightly scribed over. There are far to many W.W. 2 engraved pieces turning up on the market with poor quality engraving and dedication, as for myself, the question must be asked, why only s.s. and not the particular s.s. military unit title (even abbreviated?) Kevin in Deva.
    7. With regards this item, please see: http://www.irishmilitaryinsignia.com/metal...neous_staff.htm Kevin in Deva.

    13. Hallo Gents, this pieces has just been sold (again). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...bayphotohosting Winning bid: US $1,025.00 seems the first sale fell through for some reason:- Looks to be an interesting piece, but for what? Kevin in Deva
    14. With regards the old pre-nazi era paper notes there are literally bundles of the stuff on offer at the flea-markets in Germany, so many that it has very little worth, so to get rid of it (i,e, make it interesting for selling) these fake stamps have been added, another point can we really accept them as genuine issued items, not very good for operational security for the partisans or Resistance to identify what units are operating in the area, just check the pockets of any prisoners or dead enemy soldiers. As for any item, paper or gold I would want to see proof that it was in use by the nazi regime handing me / showing me a note or coin and spinning me a yarn, wont separate my hard earned "dosh" from my tight little paw. As is so often quoted here "Buy the item, NOT the story" Kevin in Deva
    15. Hi Snoopy, just to throw some light on your pictures:- Kevin in Deva.
    16. Paddy Now all you need is a good camera Some nice stuff, but to get serious appreciation, (which all collectors thrive on) you will just have to get a digi camera from the Argos Catalog Kevin in Deva
    17. The overgrowth is a result of the hot wet weather this spring, I surmise it will be cropped soon. The gun is located next to some monuments dedicated to men from the area who fought in WW2. Kevin in Deva.
    18. Markings. Seems the gun was in service till at least 1980! Kevin in Deva.

    20. Gun trail in the undergrowth. Shield markings: 3 H C 2 127 2 239. Kevin in Deva
