    11. Hallo Alex, looks like a Post Ww2, and I suspect an unofficial Italian medal, maybe connected to Mussolini, and the Blackshirts, looking at the fachist salute, will have a look around my reference notes to see what can it be located, can you crop and post clearer pictures, blackish on black background is hard to see Kevin in Deva.

    14. Naa Guv, take a long-weekend pass to London, and then you would take a walk down to the "Volunteer" or the "Barge Aground" pubs in Barking, or similar watering holes in Daghenam, and Bobs your Uncle, soon be sorted wif all those Arfer Daly types , although I believe they are used to shifting far bigger loads that fall of trucks coming fro Heffrow Aerport. Kevin in Deva
    15. Hallo Peter, Just to clarify a point, while most of the minis on your bar appear to be RED CROSS related, the Romanian award is not connected to the RED CROSS, it is a medical merit award to Doctors and Medical personel who served in the Romanian military. (In WW1 Romania was fighting against Germany). The Romanian Red Cross awards look like this: (shown a II Class and III Class , I am looking for a picture of Ist Class Cross, which was in white enamel with a red cross on the upper arm). The one with the box is a Ww2 issue under King Michael I of Romania. Kevin in Deva.
    16. Hallo & Welcome to the G M I C Forum Stunning Collection and display Maxime, thanks for sharing and feel free to post some close ups of your collection. Kevin in Deva
    17. Hallo Peter, with regard the mini bar the second last, decoration is a Romanian Medical Merit Cross / Crucea Meritul Sanitar 1913, I Class, a red enameled Cross surrounded by rays and the silver bust of Queen Elisabeth in the centre, on the reverse King Carol I cipher and legend "Meritul Sanitatar 1913" Awarded to the Medical Staff in the 2nd Balcanic War. I believe it was only awarded to Doctors serving in the Military, (and not a Red Cross award per se) it was also I believe issued in World War 1 as well. I attach pictures of what the Turkish medal would have looked like. I also add a picture from my archieve compiled from online pictures of an Austrian mini bar for you to contemplate. But this guy seems to have been an all round red cross awardee, from pre or early 1900 to the 1920's so France, Italy, Bulgaria, Belgium, etc..etc..spring to mind Kevin in Deva.
    18. Close-up of the hallmarks on the gold plate, to rear of the medal & the maker's name under this. Kevin in Deva
    19. Pat if its in brass / tomback, etc.. its an out and out FAKE, SS items could not / never be classed as "an unofficial pre-war militia tag or something" so ya gonna have to bite the bullet and accept its a "POST War unofficial Repro / Fantasy Piece made to catch the unwary, and mis-informed tag" God knows it happens to the best of us sooner or later Kevin in Deva
    20. Hallo aurichnet, there were rumors going about, near the end of World War II, compiled from after-action reports from British and US Bomber Pilots & Crews, about strange balls of fire and glowing discs that were seen while they were on bombing missions over Germany, the objects were refered to as "FOO FIGHTERS" Might be an idea to try putting that name in Google and see what comes up. The Germans were known to be trying many new variations of Jet propulsion systems out for their "Wonderwaffee" - "Wonder Weapons" (probaly means "I Wonder how it Works" ). http://www.germanufochatter.com/German-Foo...an-UFO-Foo.html Kevin in Deva
    21. Hallo Larry, Great pictures, many thanks, hopefully my bro' will use them in his next modeling diorama, fell free to add more as time permits Kevin in Deva
    22. Hallo Ulsterman, can you tell me in fact where Pershore is located?? as I stated this medal is now in the possesion of a Romanian student friend (although why a long-haired, skateboarding student, who, thinks he is a cool- type, bought it is unknown to me) Kevin in Deva
