Fake insignia of the Order of Michael the Brave
Kev in Deva replied to Carol I's topic in Central & Eastern European States
That shop "LA GALERIE NUMISMATIQUE" at 32, rue du Petit-Chene, 1003 Lausanne is owned by a Romanian dealer, Mr. Bogdan Stambuliu, and lets just say, "all that glitters is NOT gold." I believe some of our members here at G.M.I.C. have had some differences with regards this person, particularly with items taken from auctions in the U.S.A. arriving damaged or not the original item in the Auction picture being sent in the post. He also has a shop in Bucharest, Romania. Kevin in Deva. -

Kev in Deva replied to Gldank's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
Hallo James, many thanks for the link, as I suspected they served in Northern Ireland (U.K) Interesting information though, did they manage to see any combat duty or was the war over before they had a chance to deploy? Kevin in Deva. -

Belgium 3 Large Silver Stars on a Leopold II Medal?
Kev in Deva replied to Gldank's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
Can you explain more with regards this? (in bold) The Republic of Ireland was neutral during WW2, and the only other reason could be that the camp was located in Northern Ireland which is officially part of the U.K. Have you any pictures of the Irish Cross? Kevin in Deva -
I mentioned it here earlier:- http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=38342&hl= perhaps these two threads could be combined to save space? Kevin in Deva.

The British 25 Pounder
Kev in Deva replied to Brian Wolfe's topic in Armour, Vehicles, Ships & Aircraft
The Irish Defence Forces, only in the last couple of years, retired them from service with the Reserve Defence Forces as well. Main reason was getting spare parts I believe. Kevin in Deva. -

Small comment: Hindenburg Cross circa 1934+ I believe so how is the ribbon 100 years old? Hindenburg ribbon is not to hard to find, there is even a good repro out there at the moment. Kevin in Deva. -

Luftwaffe Hermann Goering
Kev in Deva replied to Alex K's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Research, Documentation & Photographs
Is it his dress uniform for the German academy of Aeronautical Research which was founded by Goring on the 24th 07 1936? The Breast Star is Italian I believe. Kevin in Deva, -
As this is not militaria321, but the:- "Germany:Third Reich: Political Organisations Awards, Badges & Militaria > Third Reich: Political Awards, Membership & Organisation Badges Forum". Section. then I would suggest you could ask your question in the Lounge section of G.M.I.C., or better yet, send the seller: oepenrene (43) at militaria321 a message, via that site, to ask does he give a money back guarantee. The posting of items like this here at GMIC could be misconstrued as SPAM, and such answers as: have no benefit either, with regards the question posed. Kevin in Deva.
