    That is a beauty. It would appear that it once belonged to a Saxon junior enlisted man with a medical connection. Perhaps a Sanitatsgefreiter during the war. And the maker marked tag actually being the backer instead of just sewn to it, is unique. I have never seen that before. Interesting that it has an Austrian Red Cross award, but not a German one. A great bar. :love:

    Looking at the medals' order-it appears the austrian medals are recognized as 'german'-which perhaps means post Anschluss, but pre long service medals issue. Makes you wonder who wore it without a long service medal-SA/ SA reserve/ party official/ DRK?

    Actually not? :unsure:

    The Austrians are worn in front of Hungary and Bulgaria, which is the most likely order, also pre 1938.

    Nothing German behind the two Austrians ...
