Anatoly13 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 As I know IKOM was the first place where the conversion were done. And this conversation seems as early IKOM work.
wlodzimierz Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Hi Anatoly, many Yugoslavian Order were manufactured by IKOM and converted by ZIN. Two examples Order of Brother and Unity made by IKOM converted by ZIN another sample Order of Labor 1st class - the same story. I think that there are more samples.Coming back to Order of Partisan StarIt was my assumption that this Order was managed the same way as the others. But as we have seen the type of pin back don't look like other known pin backs.I couldn't find any information about it.How do you know that Anatoly?lg waldemar
Anatoly13 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 All examples converted by IKOM were made with special "lock" as we can see on this order. All ZIN's conversations were without lock, pin only.

wlodzimierz Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 You can see hier one of the first type, maybe first type of cases for Order of Partisan Star 3rd class:enjoy.
Bryan Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Wow, very nice cased order! It seems the case cost more money than the order itself! :speechless:
Gunner 1 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Earlier in this thread Bob illustrated a Soviet-made Partisan Star, III Class with certificate issued to a Soviet Army Lieutenant on 30 April 1945 and numbered 2394. Here is a similar Soviet-made Partisan Star issued to Soviet Army Lieutenant Anatolii Ivanovich Akulshin on the same date (30 April 1945) and numbered 2376, just 18 numbers below Bob's example. The obverse and screw back device which is not the original one but rather a Soviet produced one (also the same as Bob's example) are illustrated below:
Gunner 1 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 The reverse of the star to Lieutenant Akulshin, numbered 2376, the same as the certificate:
Gunner 1 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 (edited) The certificate for Lieutenant Akulshin's star: Edited June 22, 2008 by Gunner 1
