Bob Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 http://www.russianglory.com/soviet_orders.htmWhy is the OoL nr 42.105 11k USD?I am a relative novice in Soviet awards but isn't that a fairly common Lenin?
Alfred Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I think it was a longer time ago sold for 1.150 USD. Maybe a writing mistake during editing.regardsAndreas

JimZ Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Order of honour 1574131 was awarded in June 1989 (PMD). Anyone got any more data as to the quantity of these specific orders issued after that until the collapse of the Soviet Union?Jim
Wild Card Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Thank you Alfred!I certainly was not aware of this and missed it completely. Contrary to what they say, you can teach an old dog...Best wishes,Wild Card
NavyFCO Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Why is the OoL nr 42.105 11k USD?Why not?Prices on Soviet awards these days are what anyone can inflate them to. The real "value" of an award today is what you can sell it for and what someone will pay for it, NOT what it's actually worth.Just my two cents.Dave

For example, what is considered overpriced in the US is often quite a bargain price in Russia...
