I am a relative novice in Soviet awards but isn't that a fairly common Lenin?

I think it was a longer time ago sold for 1.150 USD. Maybe a writing mistake during editing.

thats a very rare variant. Compare the bottons and you see one has a hammer and sickle and the other

the words SNAK POTSCHETA.

Observed Serial numbers from 1.477.610 to 1.574.368.

Why not?

Prices on Soviet awards these days are what anyone can inflate them to. The real "value" of an award today is what you can sell it for and what someone will pay for it, NOT what it's actually worth.

Prices are also a function of geographical location.

For example, what is considered overpriced in the US is often quite a bargain price in Russia...
