rboomsma Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 I have a strange feeling these have been offeed on ebay before Order of VictoryAre they fake???
Bryan Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I have seen documents to Khrushchev 2-3 years ago for sale on eBay. They were fake as well.
Riley1965 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 These are most certainly fake. The biggest piece of authenticity "bait" is the statement: AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED FOR LIFE. The seller has used the same line of C*** for other fake items. I wouldn't waste a penny on this set. Doc
Mondvor Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Can you give a link to the documents you mentioned?

Mondvor Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 OK, thanks! Of course I'm not a big expert in such documents, but from those pictures I would not say that they are fakes. Look real to me.
Riley1965 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Andrey,It's more likely about the reputation of the dealer. There have been problems with the dealer in the past. Doc
Mondvor Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Andrey,It's more likely about the reputation of the dealer. There have been problems with the dealer in the past. DocOh, of course I've seen that the person under name "rokas" have had many fakes for sale in the past.
JimZ Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 I have dealt with Rokas once in past and the order I bought was infact original. However, I can also say that I have observed this seller with a number of fakes including T2 ORBs as well as some German EKs. I guess as a seller, you will get everything guaranteed but sadly, not everything is actually original! Nothing I can add about the docs. That's my two francs for you !!Jim

Christian Zulus Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 MMM - from our friend Rokashttp://cgi.ebay.com/RUSSIAN-ARMY-GOLD-ORDE...1QQcmdZViewItemJim Dear Jim,a little bit too expensive for a copy of a Glory 1cl .Also not THAT good job .Best regards Christian
JimZ Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Dear Jim,a little bit too expensive for a copy of a Glory 1cl .Also not THAT good job .Best regards ChristianOf course. That was meant to be further to my previous comment:I have dealt with Rokas once in past and the order I bought was infact original. However, I can also say that I have observed this seller with a number of fakes including T2 ORBs as well as some German EKs. I guess as a seller, you will get everything guaranteed but sadly, not everything is actually original!Add on Glory 1 to that list now Jim
Christian Zulus Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Dear Jim,Mr. "slava1stclass" also presented that Glory 1cl at GMIC: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16794 .Best regards Christian
JimZ Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 That is not the issue. I made a comment regarding a dealer which I can now substantiate again. Dealers such as Rokaas are dangerous to collectors especially when they sell fakes copies or repros as guaranteed original items. It seems that the high price guarantees that someone or other will take the bait.Jim

They have to know, that they are selling fakes .A german dealer offers now a "Odessa" for a bargain. I asked for more detailed scans - of course a fake . The "Odessa" is still missing in my humble & moderate collection, but I don't want to spend a fortune on that medal. Best regards Christian
